Which International Team Do You Support?

Haha, nah England have lost the mantle to Australia (for their dominance of the game, and the way they play and behave too) and India (for the majority of their fans, their financial dominance and now the way they play and behave too).

England don't have enough assholes in the team, and lose too much to be hated.

Think some of your points are quite debatable but as you yourself said and others have pointed out, no use in dragging this debate on... Not sure if you are going to change your opinion and I don't think I will either, so we will juz agree to disagree.

Would still like the relevant posts to be moved to one of the several threads on the issue if possible TBH. Don't have any problem with it continuing to be discussed, I'm amazed anyone has the energy to, but if they do good luck to 'em.

But much as I want to keep this thread on top, ideally not with posts about said issue.

Hmm, it'd depend. Possibly in the less cricket-educated circles Australia would be more "uh, those bloody Aussies, hope they lose" - plenty of them would struggle to name 3 or 4 South African players. But most people I come accross in circles who actually follow the game properly tend to enjoy patronising and talking down South Africa at every possible opportunity, whereas things like Bangladesh's victory in 2005 generally just get the odd few laughs then it's back to "ah, Australia are the best".

Hmm, yes indeed, his obvious bias against Australia does tend to suggest that, doesn't it.

Its hard for me to say which team I support.

I live in Australia and I am an Australian citizen, my parents are migrants from India. I started taking a liking to cricket in 96 where the likes of Richardson and Lara entertained me, but as the years went on and 99 came around, my love for South African all-rounders grew. As for England, the influx of Asian players is entertaining.

In all honesty, I don't really have an out and out favourite team, but if there are two opposing teams playing each other, I will favour one or the other.

Actually, I'd have to say India.
