This is definitely the reason he hasn't been considered since Langer became coach. Theories about the selectors actually having a good reason for it like #mcgsoflat are farfetched as far as I'm concerned; they're not that smart.

It's all about standards. Test cricketers are role models and certain standards of sportsmanship and off-field behaviour are a given. However, their are other responsibilities such as setting examples and taking food on the the playing arena is not one of them.

The coach is responsible for ensuring standards are met and it seems some are condemning Langer for doing his job. He may have flaws regarding team selection and team strategies, and warrants criticism for such flaws. On the other hand, it is nit-picking to target him for enforcing basic good standards.
