What's Your Aussie Ashes Squad?

Siddle looks a much better prospect to perform in tests than Bracken, at this point, tbh. He's improving with every outing, whereas Bracken has honestly gone backwards in the last 12 months.

Shane Watson.

Seriously, the biggest man of straw ever. Injured AGAIN this morning. Probably did it getting out of bed or while shaving. He should donate what's left of his body to science, so they can work out where it all went so horribly ****ing wrong.

Don't think Symonds should ever play tests again. Definitely need a specialist bat at 6 to give the team some stability.

Looked at that and was wondering who Clarke Collingwood was and whether he plays for Australia or England. Heard good things about McDonald Broad however.

Not too sure about your back-ups. Select the reserve wicket keeper who is struggling to hold his spot in a terrible Western Australian lineup? Bring Cullen who has hardly taken a wicket in three seasons? White? Well he is a good slip fieldsmen.

Reckon we'll see Symonds, North, Watson & McDonald battle it out for the 3 all-rounder/batsmen spots up for grabs. Would love to see Ferguson get picked, but I'd prefer he played as much county cricket as possible instead of just sitting on the sidelines for 5 tests. He's really got to get rid of his tendency to get fall so often for 20-60 before he can really push for the test team IMO.

Yep, don't expect Callum to get picked.

The spot will go to North, as Symonds' Test prospects head South.

Don't think Symonds is an automatic write off. Selectors have shown time and time again they're willing to pick him so it certainly wouldn't suprise if he's in the squad.

...a certainty for the ODI squad no doubt, however I think things may have moved on in Test cricket.

I also think his diabolical form in FC last summer will count against him.

Ponting is in his corner though, which is always a huge thing.

Yeah definitely not a cert for the squad, but wouldn't be surprised to see him there either, based on historical evidence.
