What is the most difficult cricket shot to successfully pull off?

I remember Tendulkar playing some back foot straight and on drives to the Australian quicks on the 98 tour of India and I still think they’re the best cricket shots I’ve seen in 50 odd years watching the game. I don’t think you can coach the ability to stand tall and hit knee-to-hip high balls for four anywhere in front of cover with a vertical bat. It’s a god given gift.
If I'm not mistaking the series, he played a few of those against us in the 2006 ODI series and with quite some power too. I had to pick my jaw off the floor, just incredible.

I played at a modest level anyway, however I was the exact opposite - couldn’t get it away on the offside at all unless the ball was really wide of the off stump. Turned everything to leg.
You ever have those dreams when you put a lot of power behind a punch in a fight but nothing impactful happens? That's basically me trying to play a cover drive. 90% of everything I ever scored was off of leg/hip glances or off cuts. Playing a cover drive was almost a guaranteed wicket and/or comedy material.

Pulling off during a cricket shot is always difficult. I salute the competitors who are able to manage it, especially in front of a big audience.

On the other hand, is the leg glance the easiest shot to play? There's minimal risk involved apart from a leg side strange.
Not for me. Try as I would, I would invariably hit it as opposed to "glancing" it, causing it to go far squarer than intended. My personal inability always made me question if people ever are in full control of that particular stroke and how fine it travels.

I copped a tip from a bloke who played at a pretty high level a few years ago to shape to play balls you want to glance to widish mid on. He said that way you aren't playing with too narrow a face of the bat and the trajectory of the ball, which is usually into your pads hence why you want ot glance it, will take it either through or behind square for you. Everyone's different but I found it did help me a bit and stopped me falling across to the off side and scooping it in the air when I tried to play it, which I sometimes did
