Am liking the new boards and getting used to them. Better than the old ones for mobile posting.

Few little issues but overall like it.

Primary issue is not being able to initiate PMs, unfortunate when there’s so many people I really want to abuse.

Also, bin or limit signatures Imho. They detrac from all the viewing improvements

and if you click the forum button from the homepage, you get logged out and can't log back in unless you close the tab and come back in a fresh tab. there's an error message about cookies if you try logging in without closing the tab
Can you re-produce this @Shri? I had the same issue at the start but once I cleared my local browser cache, the problem was gone.

What is the downtime every time you change GUIs? If we are trying out different styles, I have a couple of suggestions:
  1. We can experiment with a style that reduces the wasted space on either side. More posts per page would be good
  2. A dark blue separation strip between posts
  3. Disabling avatars altogether should be configurable. I liked them earlier but they take up way too much space in this new format
Thanks for the suggestions there @vic - noted.

And @James and @Spark , I think XenForo allows you to customize the reaction emoticons too, right? I remember on Box Office Theory they had some movie related ones for the like, haha and everything. Think you can add more of those as well. Might be fun when you guys get the time...
I believe it does yes, we could definately look to add in time.

In previous layout I could edit or delete a post for up to 24 hours. Looks like I can't do it in the new layout even 25 minutes after posting it. Is that possible to change?
Yes I can change that, what do people believe is fair?

I'm somewhat ambivalent about the change. It's a positive aspect that the majority of members seem to appreciate the added features.
I find the posts are too indistinct in terms of separation as there is no line/border between one and the next. I also miss the quote function.
If this sounds too negative put it down to my age and the fact that I'm in a demographic that resists change.
One of the the main factors for changing was that the old software we were using was End of Life, buggy, not mobile friendly and limited us in terms of back-end technology.

We've basically gone from Windows XP to Windows 10 in terms of a release here.

It's not no, the software doesn't allow it. It is configurable within the Admin Panel however and is currently set at 20.
30 or 40 posts per page will be good. I think most old timers preferred 40 posts per page. I like the idea of it being uniform for all users (but certainly more than 20) so that when we refer to say page #3, we all mean the same thing.
