its preferable if only the people simming the matches have the sim. basically its because people dont have an advatage of simming "practice" games all the time.
Its much more fun if you dont know whats going to happen when you play a side.

Yeah of coarse thats the case, but when they get a copy of the sim, whats going to stop them from testing all night long? Of coarse they'll say, "I use it for simming matches and simming matches only". But in a quiet boring night, what better to do than do some testing!

So I honestly think everyone should get a copy. Its fair and isn't that what WCC is all about

As far as i know Sri has said that the sim will be only with GB and of course with him as he is making it.

Everything will be automated so it wont take much time for GB to run the games.

If only certain people have a copy, and this is as a result of needing to have it to help run the show, then these people are by definition trustworthy.

To suggest we'd use it for other purposes is not on. :!( :!( :!(

As a manager, not being able to find out how my squad would perform would make managing more of a hit and miss affair than any actual ability being shown. You need to know who your best players are. Also I don't see why there is this need for superiority, we all play the game, even the owner and the member of the boards, so why try and make it so serious? This and the arguements about the Finance System are showing that quite a few people on here are more concerned with how they are more important and how everyone should bow to them, rather than remembering we all play this game for fun. I'm not naming any names, it's not aimed at anyone, it's just I keep feeling as if, we, the managers, have our opinions often downgraded because we are "just" managers. I think anyone on this board has the right to decide on weather we have the Finance System or weather we should be allowed to use this new program, otherwise we are basically running an online dictatorship!

You go to any other sim and see what happens if you ask for the sim and the database... You'd have no chance...

All im saying, is that you'll get enough friendlies to see how your team is going and to see who can make your side etc, And before any major concern about the board making all the decisions i have had requests from certain managers that the program not be distributed out as some managers will be unable to use the program so its fair on everyone....

Why shouldn't the people get a copy? I think with friendlies its better if you can run them yourself, instead of having to wait and wait and wait for simmers to do it.

There needs to be some sort of authority, and it's certainly not a dictatorship, since prior to election, lots of us now on the board held vastly differing views, and that is still going on now.

No, they have nets and practises, which we don't.

Maybe so, but I still think the managers should have a say, we play this game after all. We have to put ideas to the board who can quite easily ignore it. So in a sense it's more dicatorship than communism!

Get a liscence? VC4's owner has no problem with it being free-ware. It's not as if WCC is a money making enterprise. Anyway if you design it well enough no other game could use it...
