Ok well as you all know Sriram is in the process of creating an Official Sim program for WCC...

Some of the things it will include...

* Weather- Games will be effected by rain and all the natural conditions

* Offcial WCC point scoring system...


Also there is an option for Sriram to try and implement a Finance system into the program, BUT only if we can get one that the majority agree with and is simple to not only implement but to understand...

I thought if the system was implemented into the program less work would be required by managers to keep track of what they have...

Now what we are after is a few suggestions, If you are going to make a suggestion please explain it as much as you can, and remember try and keep it simple!!!

OK, my suggestion as to the finance system, which i think would be

each team get a wage budget (salary cap) , inwhich they can spend on players, each team however must keep 16 players (and 2 rookies i spose, but they would not be under the wage budget)
each player would be allocated a wage, either by a group of managers or by the program)

Trading would be the same however you would not be able to end the trading period over your budget for the season, if this happened, the team would be punished by their best player (selected by Blewy) would be removed from their squad.

as to the money i would say that as you go up each division you would get around a 5% increase in your budget. this would be kept minimal to try and keep the teams a little more even.

Penatlies fro non-submission??

bonuses for reports??

bonuses for reports would encourage more activity in the forum??



thats just a rough outline, i think it explains it ok, constructive critisism welcome :)



now a question for Sriram with the Sim, could agression in batting be implemented?

Aggression is considered only when a teams chasing in the 4th inns.Its set automatically at present.I dont think there wud be much point to have it manually set by managers as it depends on the match situation.But as always this is also open to discussion.

sorry, i meant batting aggression of different players, eg Gilchrist and Shewag are very agreessive and Hussain etc are defensive

thats not considered as yet! Ill look into it in the next version if I can.

For the agression thing how will you decide for the rookies. For instance, if Howarth was choosen as Very Defensive it would **** me really bad, etc?

Finance seems like a good idea, but its too complex and would take up too much time. Also, if I was to lose certain players because of some bastard puting in a bid higher than me, it would really really really **** me...

SAY SO NO to finance!!!

Players averages should stay the same as they are in the database for the entire season. But I reckon there should be some kind of form meter. Ie, players should start the season with 100, and then this can be influenced by profromances throughout the season.

It would have to random, and why would him being very defensive upset you?

I think we'd have to look at their OD and 4D stats and make some form of decision.

If thats the case I'll highlight some of his innings this season, which would make him very agressive.

I've just had a brain wave.


Theres a saying that goes "form is temporary, class is permanent"......... I think. Perhaps there could be a class rating (which changes with age) and a form rating?????

I reckon diffrent aggresion ratings to reflect certain batsman is very importaint I mean I just hate seeing players like Gilly sucking up 250 balls for there 100.

As for deciding aggresion levels of Rookies I would think that Randomizing this would be fine.

I would also like to see player form taken into account again it just makes it more realistic.

1/ The form rating would be excellent but not vital, seeing as it may be hard to implement.
2/ The finance system sounds like an excellent idea. It would add a whole new dimension to the game.
3/ When is the target release date?
4/ Will it be available to the general public?

3/ We hope to start using it at the begining of next season

4/ It wont, this sim is being made for WCC use only

1) The Class Rating is, AFAIK, the guy's average :) I like the form idea - 100 being average and going up to 200 (Ed Smith) and down to 0 (Chris Schofield)

2) Don't like it :)

5/ LOL Next time your on MSN I'll let you look at the division files, not a single player has a S/R (they are all random) so if you fancy getting S/R's for about 750 players, then give Blewy a bell :cool2: - Not to mention updating them all at the end of each season.
