The reasons I felt an extra division was unnecessary were
1. that we go through quite a few managers already
2. extra work for those in charge who have trouble keeping things up to date as is
3. more teams make trading even more complex than it already is
1 - 17 people on the waiting list, enough said...
2 - its just an extra 3 games to sim each week, and dave has no problems with the website
3- thats silly, trading isnt complex at all....

it seems people are only worried about this because they are being selfish regarding the draft, fot your information the new sides will be picking last...

A lot of things on the website aren't kept up to date (such as the weekly wrap) and other parts are updated late, so I think that the website should be reduced to just the essentials. No criticism of Dave or yourself as you both do a great job - it's just too big an ask as is.
We'll see how trading goes and then I'm prepared to admit I'm wrong on that one if necessary.
With the high turnover of managers, it would be interesting to know which managers have lasted two or more seasons. I guess a division could always be dropped at a future stage if necessary.
I didn't say anything about the draft, so your 'selfish' comment shouldn't be directed at me!

the draft comment was aimed at you, but at quite a few people who have said that to me on msn....

things like the team of the week and weekly wrap have stopped because im simming now and can only dedicate so much of my time to wcc, if i wasnt simming they would still be getting done...
the team pages will be put up this weekend, everything else is up to date, except 1d tables, which again is my fault due to a lack of time....

i totally agree with graham on this point. we weren't given out stats and other stuff in the email so we'd be encouraged to visit the site. and what do would i find upon visiting the site? stats that were, not up to date. damit.

unlike you nibbs, we have lives, its not that simple to just update them 5 minutes after the games are run...

Graham - As Simon said, Weekly Wrap and Team of the Week have stopped, due to Simons larger committments now, if you would like to offer to do a Team of the Week then please, be my bloody guest, til then I reccomend you don't comment on things you don't know about.

Half of the reason you think things arn't updated is due to that problem you are having where the site doesnt update for you, ask most other people (bar nibbs) and they will tell you the site has been updated. Why would I make stuff like that up mate? It's pety.

Nibbs - Would you like cheese with that Whine?

I believe you like the sound of your own voice (read, text) The stats were updated on Monday the 29th of November at 0243-0249. Which is the Sunday/Monday night. If I recall I told everyone that full stats and injuries will be up by the Mopnday, so nigga please, get your facts right first. If you are a disbelieving toad, then I'll gladly show you a SS of the file manager.

I feel much better now, breathe in, and out.. repeat 10 times.

Dave - have you ever heard of constructive criticism?!
I stated that I appreciate the effort that you and Simon put into WCC, but also stated that I think the website has too many aspects to try to keep up to date in the time that you've got. If others aren't prepared to put in the time, it makes sense to cut down the workload - quality is better than quantity.
By the way, the problem I had accessing updated information on the website was not only from my home computer (which which there is nothing wrong!), but also from work computers and a friend's computer. Maybe others also have this problem, but are too worried about saying something?!
Once upon a time, the WCC membership used to be consulted for their opinions before major decisions were made. Now there is less of this and a 'big brother with a whip' approach to any criticism, even when it's intended to be constructive rather than negative.
Simon - you might want to edit your post to say that your draft comments were NOT aimed at me - I assume that's what you intended? I'm not on MSN and have never made such a comment about the draft on the forum.

I think the "Chittagong Cheaters" has a ring to it, although it may stir up match fixing allegations...

Great post. I agree with most of it.:)

However I don't think this is fair, "As others aren't prepared to put in the time", I mean, I know many others including myself would love to help out if needed on the site...

And I appriciate those offers, I still have them in mind, however at the present moment myself and Simon can knock things over pretty comfortably. But cheers for the offer.

Stats (aprox time 10 mins), Injuries (aprox time 2 mins), Tables (aprox time 8 mins). Plus if applicable: Team of the Week (aprox time 10 mins), Weekly Wrap (aprox time 1 min). Thats 20, maximum 31 minutes work to do between Friday and Monday, how is that too many aspects to keep up to date in the time I have got?

Graham said:

As pointed out above, currently having more then 2 persons doing this would be overkill, and TBH it wouldnt get done any faster, why can't people accept a Monday deadline for the stuff to be done? In any case for 95% of the time injuries have been done ASAP (ie: the same day of the sim) Just last round we missed out (we were a day or two late with injuries) but that was due to hotmail having a cry at the injury file.

All it takes is a post like you did to alert myself and simon about the situation, if there were many people having the same problem, we would know the problem is at our end. Did I bite your head off when you informed us? No, I simply offered suggestions about how to fix it. ( Making sure the link you followed is correct, ect). For example, if you have visited the WCC site and saved it in your favourites, the address you see when you are on the main page is http://www.cricketweb.net/worldclubcricket/content/index.shtml . From some experiments I did, on my computer if i visit the site by that address the updates do not appear. Which is why you must always use http://www.cricketweb.net/worldclubcricket

Apologies if i seem to be coming down harsh on you personally Graham, but I am mainly aiming it as general information for the whole WCC community.

If I am out of line in saying this, please, feel free to whip me with your big brother whip you mentioned :p.
