Migara

International Coach
Arjuna was a mismatch for his time. His best was in mid to late 80s and early 90s. By the time SL won the WC he was just a shadow of the batsman he was.

It is actually not that bad a comparison if we only look at batting. Ranatunga was a good batsman as well and Stokes is not that great a batsman that he cannot be compared to Ranatunga. Pointless though discussing this.

Might as well make a serious post in this Chapman thread.

Make or break season for Chapman imo - shown up by both proper pace short at the body and by spin bowling in his brief NZ appearances. He's young so can come back, but will require a lot of work - hopefully he's at least shortening his grip and backlift against the proper quicks, realising that he isn't Brian Lara and just can't get away with what he was doing before.

Has started the season scoring 7, dismissed by Tickner bowling short of a length and reasonably quick.

Hope he comes through.

International Captain
Ravi Rampaul vs Mervyn Dillion

Who was the better bowler for you and the more wicket taking threat that had you on the edge of your seat while watching the cricket on normal tv or cable.

I saw "Mervyn" and automatically went to Merv the Swerve in my mind, think this was going to be a "fat seamers" comparison.

Was quite disappointed when I properly read the title.

What happened to Ravi Rampaul? He took a fiver against India in world cup 2011 and restricted India to a modest total.
