I wonder who's played the most tests for their country without playing a test in their home country. Cos it's very possible over the next 3 years that MMarsh will play all the tests in Aus/SA and Eng, while Maxi will play on the subcontinent.
Excluding Pakistanis who've played at neutral venues, still seems to be Billy Bates, who played all his 15 Tests in Australia.

Been disappointing in ODIs post WC but he's definitely been hampered by a lack of faith from the selectors.

Should be playing Tests.

Bloke hasn't made an inch of progress since his debut. Like he hasn't improved at all. If anything he's gradually gotten worse.

I feel that way sometimes, but then I think that he'd probably get picked and still keep finding ways to get out and struggle to average 30 in the home summer because it's just how he rolls

I hope he gets a good run this summer in the test side. He could seriously feast on the mediocre wares India will bring.

He's looked dire all year. No doubt a talented bloke though. If there's one thing that you can count on up bring a guy back in form, it's Indian bowling overseas.

his wikipedia page is fantastic

One of his improvisations against left-arm spinner, Rajesh Maru, of Hampshire was to drop his bat to avoid being caught out by the close fielders.
However, he never scored highly in ODIs, and his batting average would have been considerably lower, but for his high proportion of not-out innings.
In May 2005, Reeve admitted that he had an addiction to cocaine, and had used the drug prior to commentating on the 2004 first Test between England and New Zealand at Lord's. Reeve duly quit Channel Four after working for five years as part of their commentary team. He also admitted to using marijuana whilst he was an active player for Warwickshire but only out of season.[5]
Further scandal was to follow Reeve at the end of 2009, when he was exposed as a seller of Donald Bradman "signatures" on plain card which were later confirmed by the Bradman Museum to be poor copies of the original Legend's signature.[7]
Despite leading the side to the Plunket Shield four-day final in 2008–09 before winning the 2009–10 Twenty20 competition, his tenure as coach was at times controversial, one particular incident seeing him fined and censured for accusing England international Ravi Bopara of ball-tampering during a domestic one-day match.

Well other than being worse than David Capel he had an addiction to cocaine which can't have helped.

Got to give him credit though did a fantastic job as captain of Warwickshire.

He was so hard up a couple of years back that he had to sell the presentation Wisden he was given the year he was one of the Five Cricketers of the Year - he got a lot of money for it, and something tells me whoever bought then gave it back to him, but I might be wrong about that

Anyway I believe he lives in Aus now, not that I'm suggesting it's still a penal colony

As usual you are not wrong, esteemed Mr Fertang. Dermot Reeve discusses the sale of his presentation Wisden in this interview. The book sold for £3,000. Here is the actual auction.

Legend. Wish he would give back to Hong Kong cricket more. He studied at KGV School - the same school where that kid who bowls like Paul Adams was filmed recently.

Guy was a classy player when he found form out in the middle, he just lacked belief that he would have been one of the great Australian batsman.

He was outrageously good to watch, probably my favourite of all time. Even his batting stance before the ball was delivered was attractive.
