Or maybe Greenidge if he plays for even longer.
(He'll or should probably be dropped for good before he reaches boycott, but who knows?)
probably can't drop him from BGT, his 4 hundred series is iconic atp and it's not like India has a deep reserve of batters who can perform on fast, bouncy pitches like the Australian one which nowadays even have movement (like the SA ones but to a lesser extent), Kohli is the most accomplished batter in those conditions, he'll be there.

I agree. But I reckon if he fails, it'll not be good for him (or maybe would be good for his average).

Can’t see Kohli doing too well in Aus if they continue to roll out spicy pitches but hope he proves me wrong like he did in the World Cup last year

Kohli just. Kohli's avg falling below 48 soon though. He needs 33 runs next innings to keep it at least 48 for now

I realistically can't see Kohli falling behind Harvey actually (and yes, I am one of those dumbasses who still believes Kohli will click in Australia).

Mark my words, he will have one or two amazing knocks and 8 failures

Like he failed in this NZ series, but had he actually managed to convert his 70 in the 1st Test to a bigger score and help India get a solid 250 lead, I won't really had cared much for him struggling in the other 2 matches. But ofcourse he didn't, got out in the last ball of the day after looking World Class.

I think Kohli is still their best bet outside the subcontinent but he's cooked in his home conditions.
