Might be so but I grew up with Albion and haven't looked at another brand

I'm just old
Albion taken a back seat the past five-six years. Ever since they released the non-felt ones, Masuri slowly taken over. Think they are now the official helmet sponsor for CA, after eons of time it being Albion.

when I got my first helmet 10 odd years ago I was almost certain the options were all Albion

Masuris have been around for a fair while now. I always felt Masuri's just looked better and Stephen Fleming was the coolest guy in it, Albions always seemed a rounder than the sharper angled Masuri grill.

Exactly. Fmd Lee behaved like a prick then. Can't respect the bloke as he came over as a bully roughing up a civvy. Held my breath watching it and was relieved nothing serious happened. Even then he broke a bone or two.
Meh, Morgan is a **** and nobody would've seriously considered death as a consequence. That's why this has hit so hard.

That's actually a really nice touch by Sachin.

Considering how many runs he was scoring at 25, bet that stick still kicks like a mule too.

When the Morgan - Lee stunt happened we all thought of it as a fun, non-serious gimmick so to speak. I think we all got complacent at how dangerous a cricket ball is with the protective gear. Certainly at the highest level when talk of blood on the pitch has been celebrated to a degree. Richard Hadlee flagged this stunt up as a foolish and careless act. Looking back he was correct. It was idiotic getting a bowler not long after retiring, still hitting 130 clicks to aim at an unfit journalist (in more than one way)

Phil Hughes, an immensely talented cricketer, had all the ability to be a top run scorer, get 100 caps and future captain. He had the supreme timing, the exuberance of a star but a humble and strong mentality to keep coming back from setbacks. Forever 63*.

I just can't come to terms with this and I keep thinking this can't be real. Phil Hughes is my latest once in an era batting star which is limited to Kim Hughes, Greg Chappell, Viv Richards and Dean Jones. Everyone else was great to see but these guys were what made me watch cricket. Cricket will never be the same again :(

And, out of respect, can we please stop discussing the Morgan - Lee stunt in this thread? Thanks.

The quiet reverence and respect shown by current and former players, the media and the wider public has been the only feel good to come from such a tragic event.

This tribute by Richie Benaud had me in tears.
