All of the kiwi boys going really well in the t20 blast. Quality is very questionable but our boys are doing really well. Conway, Phillips, Sodhi, Allen, Lockie etc... they've gone really well. Munro has done well in PSL, not so much Guppy. Jimmy has been reasonable but he bats low so have to take the average with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile Kane has pulled out of 100 due to elbow issues. I guess could be looking at a surgery to sort out the tennis elbow for good. If it goes that route easily could miss 8 months to a year.

I know Phillips doesn’t have many fans on CW here but I reckon he’s going to be a superstar for New Zealand. There should be absolutely no reason why he isn’t playing in either white ball team at the moment, every game that should be him.

Obviously there is a log jam for the test team at the moment but I wouldn’t be shocked if he averaged around 45 for New Zealand for his career. Once everything clicks he’ll be away.

If you have the time Jarrod Kimber has released some excellent videos on YouTube on certain New Zealand players

This one on Henry Nicholls is pretty excellent. Apparently he’s absolutely dog turd against off spinners now and has been for 18-24 months, after being excellent against them earlier in his career.

Will be interesting to see how he goes against Ashwin later this year

Yeah I'd like to endorse this, he's a gun.

Wait. Are England having BOTH The Hundred and The Blast? Wow. That's a bit ****, feel for them.

Jamieson's numbers with the ball in t20 is just perplexing. He was really good in the ipl for rcb, weird to see him struggle in a comp I would say is much lower quality overall than the ipl. Not like hes in bad form either, was bowling like a dream in the test stuff.

He's not a dullard either. Some serious west indian like flair. The fielding and athleticism is also ELECTRIC. That flying propeller catch attempt against BD earlier this year will live on forever. He has the all the makings of a superstar for world cricket.

Awesome... was wondering how to dig these numbers up. Milne injured?

Interesting.
Especially as Nicholls has a reputation as a good player of spin bowling.

Seriously, **** INZ. Happy to give Conway’s gf residency in order to provide him with assurances that he’ll be let back into the country but can’t even get off their butts to give Foxcroft a visa. Hope he wins SA selection and hits the winning runs for SA to finally lift a WC.
Don't agree with this.

Conway's wife already met the visa requirements and already had the application pending somewhere in the backlog, and they were in-country. It was a paper decision, not prioritising someone through MIQ over others (although Conway does take a place in MIQ on his return ... admittedly, but for the pen pusher that is a step removed, and someone was taking it regardless)

Foxcroft is virtually trying to repeat an immigration/visa process he successfully did in 2018 when inwards migration was about 140,000 per year but is now about 30,000 per year restricted by MIQ so has a heck of a lot more compeition.

INZ are having to juggle returning citizens, skills shortages, and 'economic benefits' e.g. film crews, seasonal labour etc.

Have you tried to get an electrician or builder lately or a fruit picker? Where as an Otago middle order batsman who bowls off spin can literally be replaced by an un-contracted Dunedin born and bred youngster who was the best player in the last NZ U19s.

Foxcroft made a really poor decision literally against the advice of the foreign minister, he still got paid for another year to not play cricket. I'd welcome him back if he wants to try again after borders get to normal, I would understand if he didn't want to, and I feel its a shame he wasted a year being paid not to play domestically in SA by the OCA.
