Umpiring Errors

Wait so he walked or was he given by the umpire?
Walked without reviewing it after being given out. And then later Sky confirmed from the dressing room that he thought he had hit it and thus walked.
More commonly know as being given out then?

Sky didn't confirm anything ffs. IIRC what was said was "We're hearing that Morgan thought he nicked it" etc. Never has there been an official statement on the matter so can you please drop the bull****.

No there was no clarity on that replay and the snicko wasn't being used in any case.

Even, if it had been overturned (Which it wouldn't) his ****ing fault for not reviewing it like it is the Captain's when he does not review something.

Plus he was happy with the decision and knew Dhoni had ball in his hand . This is as marc put it "All supposition and bullcrap" and people should give their mind reading skills a rest.
He couldn't review it if he thought he was given LBW. That's the ****ing point.
Also think the replay was pretty clear myself tbh. As was the fact that there was only 1 noise and the ball 100% conclusively did hit that pad.

And as GF said, lolirony. Because you seemingly know that Morgan thought he hit it without him or anyone directly linked with the England Cricket Team saying so. Bravo.

There is more evidence of Morgan saying that he edged it than not so there you go. And TV replay were not clear at all.

Plus he walked off without reviewing it. No mind reading skills needed after that.

You cannot go telling around batsman to be honest and then when they walk without any motive, tell them they were not out based on your interpretation of a stupid TV replay.:laugh:
The umpire's finger going up is usually a pretty good motive tbph.

I don't need to because he walked FFS!! Which is better than any quotes.

It's the others who are speculating based on nothing really. Plus Sky confirmed it ,so all evidence is one way right now.

See there are 2 possibilites even taking your hypothetical world(which i don't think it is) -

1)Either he was a Idiot who did not know he could review that or ask about the decision(LBW or Caught), which is his fault. In which case there is no certainty too that it would have been overturned and "supposition and bullcrap" comes in. and there was no snicko available.

2)He really edged it and believes it in which case it matters **** all what people are biasedly interpretating from the replays.
.......

Yeah, and you're wrong. On replay there was absolutely 0 evidence to suggest that it hit the bat. This it would've been overturned.

Even then he is no.1) the idiot for not asking the umpire whether he was LBW or Caught considering it went so close to his bat and he turned around and saw the ball in Dhoni's hand and him appealing with it raised.
Sky atleast said they confirmed from the dressing room with regards to the incident and said something about Morgan saying he nicked it, there is nada to the contrary and supporting what you said.

They didn't confirm anything. There was nothing to be confirmed. There were 'noises' from the dressing room. Just like Zaheer supposedly had cramp and was going to bowl in the second innings..

What did Vaughan tweet regards to Laxman, Vaseline and Hotspot?

Ex players including Saba Karim and Gavaskar suggesting that BCCI and Laxman should look to sue him. And it is a bigger controversy than the Bell incident on indian channels right now.

Even then he comes under no.1) category even if we believe your hypothesis.
Yeah, he was an idiot. An idiot who was given out by an incorrect decision. That's the point. Had the correct call been made, Morgan would've never been given the chance to become an idiot.

Still his fault for not knowing his rights any which way you twist it. And if you do not review you do not overturn etc.. etc...

And this even in the extreme where your whole hypothesis is believed without any evidence whatsoever.

As opposed to your hypothesis which is also founded on a similar lack of evidence.
Well "noises" from dressing room(which England team haven't denied at all) + circumstancial evidence from Morgan walking off > No evidence at all.

Yeah, Morgan walking off after being given out. How absurd.

Tbf, my whole hypothesis is based on the fact the ball hit the ****ing pad and not the bat.

And i disagree with it. No point going round in round in circles really. I think enough has been debated about that already despite Morgan being happy with it. So should give it a rest...

The same noises, which interestingly had changed on the review show on Sky later the same night, to Morgan thought he had been given Lbw and couldn't review it.
Why do you keep saying he walked, when he didn't, he waited for the umpires decision and went?

Let's give that one a rest tbh. Don't want to go round and round in circles again.
