Major Finals Tournaments and the like.
Like the 2004 Copa America in which he starred in.

And you can't call it a non major tournament, as it is a major tournament for him and for all South American countries.

Except it wasn't, because none of the sides pick the big name players.

I knew you'd bring that Tournament up, but when Argentina pick their U21s, and Brazil leave out the likes of Carlos, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho etc., it's not a big Tournament.

yes the poor old copa america seems to have been de-valued somewhat over the last few years, shame really, but yes none of the teams really seemed to take it seriously as mark said, brazil and argentina more than the rest of them.

Short of the World Cup, name a major Tournament for South American countries?

Anyway since Brazil are almost certain to be at Germany next year, and Adriano (I would expect) to be a certainty, we will see.

Anyway he has 25 goals this season - he's hardly played at all in the Copa Italia (so you can't use that), got goals in the Champions League, and the 3rd highest goal scorer in the Serie A this season ( Here if you don't believe me) in a much tougher league doesn't deserve some form of credit (not even Vieira and Henry were good enough in Italy).

It may be in theory a major Tournament, but the big players never turn up - Brazil and Argentina like to use younger players because then they've got caps and appear to be good imports for Eyuropean sides paying lots of money.

Also I think comparing Vieira when he was 19 and Henry when he was a winger with what they are now is a tad ineffective.

To be fair he started to his straps when he was at Parma. Of course he wasn't going to be brilliant first up coming to a new country - I don't think he was which is way the plan was to send him out on loan Fiorentina to get some experience in Italian football (albiet in a lower division) and to learn Italian.

Anyway I must say I was shocked to the crowd violence in the derby match, and thos idiots should be given bans and heavy fines, yes it is derby, yes no Inter fan likes Milan, but it is still unacceptable. And the rumour In Italy is that the 'Ultras' (Inter fans) were planning this regardless whether or not Cambiasso's goal would have been given or not.

Credit where credit is due, Dida was brilliant, showed he is one of the top 'keepers going around.

However, now would be the time for Lyon or PSV to lift their game and beat Milan (*walks out to buy a PSV or Lyon hat).

Inter Milan have been fined £132,000 and their next four home European games will be played behind closed doors. I can only imagine how much worse the punishment would have been if it had been an English club that offended like that.

It is an absolute joke.

How often will they continue to get away with it?

Wait there, today my mate told me that inter will be banned from the champ league for the next two seasons, havent heard anything about a fine. But i cannot back that up at all, i just heard that from somebody when you break it down.

If im wrong, than that punishement is extremely light, we was talking today about how much dida could sue for and that figure was more than the actual imposed fine
