Meaning he's played over half... meaning over his carear here as a whole, he's been first pick.
That might not be strictly true, Carroll could have been injured for some of the 39 games Howard played (I've no idea if he was or not). So for example Howard played in 39, not selected in 30, so if Carroll was unavailable in more than 9 of Howard's appearances that would make Carroll first choice going on your logic. Anyway Carroll always looks like a disaster waiting to happen so a good keeper should do more than just edge out Carroll overall.

A first choice pick rarley misses games.

Remind me how many he's played this season.

Juventus 2-0 Real Madrid
All those names they have and they could'nt score a damn goal yesterday!
It was a depressing match.... last two weeks i put money on Juventus and Real won so this week i put my money on Real and guess who won... damn them! so no spanish side in to the last 8.... AC Milan looks good.

Inter have never won serie A for about 20 years
Not since 1988.

It may sound bad, but then Chelsea haven't won it in 50 years, and only won it once and Newcastle have done nothing in about 35 years.

Yes, but how many draws are they going to get?

They can coneivably not lose a game all season and still win nothing.
What is it you and Neil have against the club?

Or is it because I like them?

I hope United get gattuso or essien in the summer, either would be great a great buy.
And they have been linked with guys (or rather stories printed by the press in their respective countries) like Frey, Toldo, Casillas, and for a team who apparently need to sell before he can buy. And Essien and Gattuso won't be cheap.

Juve
AC Milan
Lyon
and I'm not too sure about this one but Chelsea.

This weekend would be a good time for Kaka, Crespo etc. to suffer season ending injuries.

Now if Crespo decides to enter his mate Javier Zanetti's resturant, Zanetti might be doing well to instruct the chefs to put something in his food.

Uefa must have done it on purpose to have all the matches on tha same day with both the milan teams having same stadium :)

well at this stage of the tournament, with my home team manchester united out i would go for either chlesea or AC Milan to win but AC Milan would have to beat Inter and i quite agree with marc that will be an epic encounter

Chelsea got a good draw, punching the air that Liverpool didn't (feared they were going to get PSV, who are now going to go out to Lyon IMO, who are underrated). My favourites are AC Milan, Chelsea just behind them, but with an ounce of luck Chelsea could be in with a chance. For my money an AC Milan - Chelsea final.

we are without doubt the weakest side in the last 8, but the team has self confidence in its current form, 7 clear in the league, easily ito the cup semis and now the CL quarters, Lyon was probably or best possible match up, they will start favourites, but i wouldnt put it beyong PSV to win, afterall we comfortably beat Monaco, i know they arent quite as good as Lyon, but theres hope...
