Slats4ever launches scathing attack on One Day Cricket.

Traditionalists have long held the view that cricket is a 4 day game, one that tests out all skills over a prolonged period of time. The argument has long been swept under the rug by WCC administrators but Province manager Slats4ever is keen to bring it to light.

"I find it appalling that equal emphasis is placed on OD cricket in this system as their is on 4 day cricket. Personally I think the OD competition should be abolished as it is all in place for money and commercial quality". He argues that rival cricketer administrators the ICC have had to now lower themeselves to a newer concept of cricket called 20-20 and that he hopes this never happens to WCC. "It's certainly heading that way, some managers now place more importance on OD cricket and keeping commercial interests happy rather than playing good cricket". He see's the administrators of WCC's attitudes on this issue a key one in them overtaking the ICC as the most important "there's only one style of rugby played throughout, cricket's a 5 day game, let the ICC suffer with the consequences of poor commercial biased attitudes, not WCC"

It's about time in Slats's eyes that the WCC board did something about this, in Slats's perfect world the OD competition would involve each team meeting eachother only once. "What are we here for? to make lotsa money or to play good hard cricket, I'm sure Bradman would roll over in his grave if he found the game in today's state".
Ian you only think that cause your team is hopeless at one day cricket and you dont have the ability to trade for players that are good in both forms, so you concentrate on four day and do well in that and create the illusion that you are a good manager, when in fact you arent very good at all....
