Top 5 Players

Because of Bradman, this is really a "Who rates 2-5 in test history", isn't it?

Surprised that some people aren't picking Sobers, though.
Who rates 2 to 5 after 1900 anyway. W.G. Grace would probably had a shot if he was not pre-1900 and mostly before test cricket.

It seems as if a short list should have been provided for this exercise as well. Oh well, at this point there is a run-a-way top seven and a tight race for the #5 spot. The top 2 as per usual havee seperated themselves from the rest. Btw yesterday was the 75th birthday of the Great Sir Garfield Sobers.

It's weird that in the long history of cricket, with thousands and thousands of players, Bradman and Sobers are so far ahead of everyone else.

The voting seems to have slowed/stopped. Will give it one more day and then call the vote so to say. Close finish for number 5 slot, but most of the results were more of less expected. Fun exercise though.

Wait, I didn't know we were voting. If so, I'd like to change my votes to:

Sehwag
Gilchrist
Sehwag
Gilchrist
Sehwag (0.5) + Gilchrist (0.5)

Ok, Resuts, was hoping for at least 30, but voting seems to have stalled, so here we are.
Bradman -28
Sobers -25
Marshall -14
Richards -13
Imran -13
Warne -11
Tendulkar -10
Muralitharan -7
Gilchrist -4
Hadlee -4
O'Reilly -2

Surprised Warne didnt make it and the support for Imran and Marshall. Marshall for me is top 3, but glad to know I was not alone.

Where did you count Spark's vote that had Marshall/Imran??? If that was counted for Marshall then that is the difference b/w Marshall and Imran in this vote. If that was counted for Imran then he moves down from joint 4th to 5th place.

Actually since you did not put in a poll so people probably did not vote too much
