hahaha, some top picks though...!Voltman said:Not sure about the world, but in Australasia, I would go for:
Sokyola
Elsu
Smooth Satin
Mister D G
Roman Gladiator
Oh, we aren't talking harness racing....
It's pretty much nothing but mile races in the US, right? Sokyola, Just An Excuse and Elsu would all give it a nudge over 2400 or more.Camel56 said:IMO Sokyola is a very very good pacer but im not sure how he would go against some of the american pacers. The US pacers generally run over a mile and are very very fast. Over a mile i think they would win but i think Sokyola would have their measure over a longer race like the Interdominion.
Won't dispute thatJames90 said:Glenn McGrath

How are Gillespie and Harmison 'clearly' better than Shoaib and Pollock?SJS said:McGrath, Gillespie and Kasprowicz from Australia, Shoaib from Pakistan, Harmison and Flintoff from England, Irfan from India. Pollock from South Africa. That makes eight..
McGrath, Gillespie and Harmison are clearly the top three. Next two are tighter. I would go for Shoaib and Flintoff.

Rummy. A top five pacemen list ignoring Glenn McGrath is utterly rubbish IMO.CaptainSaurav said:The current ones. I think top 5 would be,
Harmison
Jason G
Irfan pathan
Pollock
Z khan
Good selection. McGrath + Pollock reliable all-time greats, Akhtar + Harmison consistently winning matches of late and Gillespie the best of the rest. Vaas has really improved over the last couple of years, and despite being the epitome of all things inconsistent, would be 6th on my list.BoyBrumby said:I think it depends entirely on what you take "pacers" to mean. If it means bowlers who bowl seam as opposed to spin my list would be:
1) McGrath
2) Harmison
3) Ahktar
4) Pollock
5) Gillespie
Oh pleaseBoyBrumby said:3) Flintoff (oh yes he is!)
4) Lee
