not his fault the world robbed us of a Hammond vs Lindwall battle
No isn't but sadly it does counts against him. Australia had a pathetic pace attack during his time. He played better pacers against WI, India, in County and even ****ing NZ.....

from what Peterhrt has posted for Hammond, I don't really treat his record against pace badly anymore, and his peer reputation and skill against spinners is just so high I struggle to leave him out of the top 10

My problem isn't his record against pace being bad, my problem is there literally was no top tier pacer in his time. Larwood is Great and so was Constantine, but neither really ATG in my book.

Yeah he really faced pacers who weren't proven enough on the international circuit other than Miller at 45
