Most people would have picked Australia to win the final though - I guess we'll never know regarding the forfeits, AUS and WI were obviously not gonna be walkovers. But in any case, Sri Lanka did win two more games against us immediately after the WC final in the Singer Cup, so they were doing really well around then. Certainly, they were excellent chasers.

Yes he didn't. Pakistan was in shambles way early even before the ball could be considerably wet. Plus, the dew is much more troublesome for spinners than faster bowlers when it does come into play.
