Australasia
That's a region. :p

Anyways, will it actually be an easier path through to the qualification for the WC by moving to Asia, or are the benefits more in terms of number of games played, especially in Australia, against decent opposition, will increase infinetly?

Oh, and Archie Thompson should play up front for the Socceroos :p

No, I fully understand - Australian's want a far easier path to the finals.

Still doesn't make them Asian.
no, we want a far fairer path to make the world cup... put aside the way we get there its ridiculous at teams like bahrain, T&T, uzbeckistan, saudi arabia will be there but we wont when we are a far better side...

whats the difference if we qualify through asia compared to qualifying through South America...

I see, but you're happy for you to be there and the 5th best South American side there, even though they're a better side (as shown by you never being able to beat them in a play off)

Touch hypocritical that...

South America is the dominant region in International football, they deserve more qualifiers. Like The Premiership in European Cup, more entrants because of the more powerful comp, then say in Scotland. Seems fair.

Actually it could turn out harder as they have to play more harder qualifying matches to earn there spot. If they beat Japan, China, and South Keora and get in then they would have earnt it.

And nothing is ever easy until you do something pretty easy.

Asia might be harder, or it might be easier, we will find out when Australia tries to make the Asia Cup next year. The fact that Asia has have a major comps in the Asia Cup and have the Asian Champions' League, makes the move more important then just for the fairier World Cup path. Add to the fact that the youth teams play more matches against better oppersititon, gives Australia a better platform to develop their players. All in all these other factors are more important then a fairer World Cup for the long term future of the game in Australia.

Only by dodgy referring decisions and a stuff around by FIFA (if anybody can prove to me tht Uzbekistan didn't get a raw deal I would like to hear it).

And Bahrain haven't got in yet mate.

Diego Lurano, Gustavo Varela, and Omar Pouso are banned for the first leg. Also, it looks unlikely that Craig Moore will play

It is a good thing that they play away from home first up. You get it out of the away and plus the fact that Uruguay were poor away from home in their South American qualifyers.

Too bad Recoba and Forlan aren't suspended or injured!

Well nothing is easy until you do something easy. Which, technically, means that nothing is easy, unless there was on thing that was indeed easy with someone having done something easy.

The Socceroos name the squad that will Australia's football destiny for another two years (Asia Cup is in two years :D). Only change from the side that played Jamaica is the inlcusion of Ljubo Milicevic. Kevn Mucat wasn't selected and Simon Colosimo, Jon McKain and Jade North were all dropped. BTW who is Ante Covic, i heard his name before but i can't remember what position he plays?

Is Filan playing for Wigan? If so, is he playing much?
Have you been under a rock lately?

He's been playing every game for them and was their best player last match. He's been on fire this season!!

I haven't had much time to watch the EPL highlights lately. Is that such a crime?
