So there it is. We miss out on the 5D final. I find it easy to blame Green, but it was our own fault for failing to perform consistently. Well, there's OD...

I disagree. It is entirely Andrew Garven's fault.

Look guys, let's convert this disappointment to something productive and ROMP to victory in our final OD match.

GO REDS!!!!!!!!!

Seriously guys, this sucks...FC and OD we have to rely on other fixtures going our way, to get into the final. It's disgusting.

When our home fans stop chanting 'GO REDS' and start chanting 'GO CHOKER' you know their is something wrong. Oh well you never know Colts could pull something off and get us in the final through the back door. It seems like nothing changed over the last two seasons only difference is that we made our charge in the 3rd Quarter not the 2nd Quarter. Maybe next season we will make it in the last quarter.

lol we got into the OD final through the back door, oh well lets step up in the final and make the most of it and knock off the Blues.

Admittedly I'd have preferred to face the Blacks in the final. The Reds have a very potent team, so it should be a good contest. Good luck.

Well, we got into the finals, but we succumbed at the final hurdle, the loss of our big three at the start was a problem, while Rob, Marc and Dave really gave us some impetus. Methinks we didnt have enough runs on the board, for their sizable batting lineup.

But it's been a good season, one where we nearly made it into both finals, one of the better ones in recent memory. Hopefully we can do better next season.

EDIT: Maybe the selection panel could do a end of season review, or awards or something

Well done everyone for a great season, i really enjoyed my first season with you guys. It didn't finish the way we liked, but there were a lot of positives, hopefully we can continue the improvements and come back stronger next year.

It was a good effort, in my opinion, our best season for some time (at least while I've been here). OD finallists, just missed out on an FC final spot. Well done to everyone, team effort guys.

Firstly, I'd like to apologise for my lack of activity in the second half of the season, I have genuine reasons, of which I will not elaborate on the forums.

Well done mob on getting to the 1D Final, ended up going down to a quality Blues outfit on the day which was unfortunate, but these things happen. At least it wasn't the farce of a few seasons ago vs Black... Just quickly knocked up the quarterly win/loss of the team, and it was quite obvious we were let down by our second quarter. The reason for this? Well, everyone has their theories, but I firmly blame Hakon.

4/4 First Quarter
2/6 Second Quarter
6/2 Third Quarter
5/3 Fourth Quarter

There are many positives to come out of the season. Just a few that stood out personally:

*Gaurav Nayak's 1D Bowling - got a chance and held onto it throughout the season.
*Rich Edmunds' 1D Bowling - was the tightest of the group, and picked up wickets consistantly
*The quartet of Stedman/Markus/Feeney/Dauth in 1D was sensational.
*Thamba's first season in Red colours was a fruitful one. Unlucky to miss out on 1000, but a great effort.
*Tharmi Loganathan's efforts while Sean was injured in an "unfortunate incident". No further comment on the incident...

I'm sure you can add your own positives in there - there were also some negatives throughout the season, and that was mostly related to our consistency problems, but that's something to work on next season.

I'd like to issue a warm congratulations to the following people for being selected in the (provisional) various Best XI teams in the upcoming charity series.

OD Bowling XI
GN Nayak

OD Batting XI
AL Feeney
I Markus
JE Stedman
RJ Dauth

FC Bowling XI
DM Kennett
NA Borcich

FC Batting XI
T Mamesh

Best of luck to those (less to Thamba - I predict a king pair for you) who make the starting XI's of the respective teams.
