If there are concerns about squad depth, Red may draft a substitute from those listed in the first Season 9 thread post. Note that Blue has already drafted Maddocks. The substitute may not play unless forced to, however.

A bit batting weak IMO, what's Iyer and Langley like?

That is officially the longest tail ever...four to nine is roughly even on batting ability.

As for 13th man - Jan's not that flash, maybe get Gazzard?

Thats what it'll probably be. Iyer, he's never really exploded at Dev League level, never showed a great comitment to training, and this shows in inconsisten performances on the field. Langley has just come back out of retirement, bit old, bit slow, but he adds some much needed experience.

Don't write the batting off just yet. Young James Stedman did some special things for the Reds last year, and although is perhaps a stronger OD player, there's no doubt he can transform such form to the 5D game. Markus is an explosive player who can get runs and I can get a couple from opening. Then Jamee and Steds have both showed some quality batting skill despite being less talented in that area. Borcich knows how to swing the bat hard as well.

All in all, lets just put in a big effort fellas.

We do have a all rounder by the name Garauv Nayak, surely he will come into the side to for a bowler to strengthen the lower order batting. He also took four wickets in the 1st Innings aganist the colts.

Good performance by Dobson, Nayak and Loganthan showing that we can be a force while players are away on national duty.
