427 runs and not a single six
Haha 64 no balls - including 17 in one over!

All I can think is they didn't know the rules and Argentina wasn't going to tell them.

Reminds me of a school football match I played in back in Australia. It was only after about 7 foul throw-ins by both sides one after another did someone explain that both feet needed to be on the ground.

Mitch Marsh fans should be happy that he is no longer holder of an unwanted Test record

Prior to his recall 4 tests ago he held the record of lowest average (25.20) for a top 6 Aussie bat with 30+ Tests

He's since gone past John Dyson (26.64) and his 90 yesterday puts him above Joe Darling (28.56). Next up to overtake is Monty Noble (30.26) and Graeme Wood (31.83) 😀

Mitchell Starc passes 2000 runs

Now only the 2nd Aussie pace bowler to take 300 wickets and make 2000 runs (Mitchell Johnson the other)

Syd Gregory?

Giffen had an even lower average.
Was a primary bowler though, whereas Molehill is looking at bats. IIRC only thing in Gregory's favour is that he was reputedly a very good fielder?

Mailey said that his last series was basically as a board captain due to the players' withdrawal and described him as a 'likeable but amazingly weak character'.

Syd Gregory seems to have been the best cover point of his time "with a return like a flash of lightning" (Pelham Warner). Ahead of Jessop and Hobbs.

General fielding standards during the so-called Golden Age were poor, especially in England, but there were some outstanding individuals.

Australia's bowling attack will become the most successful foursome in history in the 1st Test vs West Indies

They've currently played 26 Tests together for 428 wkts which is 2nd behind England's 433 wkts in 34 Tests by Anderson, Broad, Stokes and Ali

Cummins - 119 wkts @ 21.60
Starc - 110 wkts @ 28.15
Lyon - 101 wkts @ 34.06
Hazlewood - 98 wkts @ 24.88

Does feel like it should be higher considering when they all started playing (2017?) But I guess that shows the difficulty in keeping an entire attack fit and healthy long term.

I think this was their first Test together, Nov 2017, so 6+ years to play 26 tests together

I'm almost more surprised about the 4 they're about to go past who would always have had at least one other seamer in their 11.

Interesting stat though, surprised it's as low as it is. But like you say, not easy for 4 bowlers to always be fit at the same time. And 26 Tests suggests they haven't very often either.

For anyone interested, Australia has played 59 matches since those four played their first test together.

Could you post the query?

Just out of interest, do you know how many wickets went outside the Aussie Big 4 in the 26 Tests they played together? I'm guessing not many. I guess the odd few for the likes of Marsh and Green.
