Your best hope is SA smash NZ by atleast 100 runs tomorrow
Even that is not enough because the gap at the moment is around 360 runs.

Pak needs to beat NZ heavily as it will have a double effect of pushing Pak up and NZ down. Winning that game by 100-150 runs will be ideal. Then the remaining difference has to be made up in the final match vs England + the margin of victory of NZ over SL.

Just did a quick play around with the numbers. On the current NRR's, if Pakistan scored 325, they'd need to keep NZ to under 140 to move above them.

A heavy defeat to SA tomorrow though might make things interesting....but the way this is going, NZ will probably win and thus kill off the group stage (like it wasn't already).

Monsoon is arriving in Bengaluru in a couple of days.
Games that may (or may not) be impacted-

NZ v Pak 4th Nov
NZ v SL 9th Nov
Ind v Ned 12th Nov

Luckily no more games left in Chennai.

So a 3rd consecutive defeat coming up for NZ.

Next up is Pakistan and that won't be easy for NZ battling so many injuries. I think Pakistan might be favs going into that match.

Then it will all come down to NZ v SL and Pak v Eng (and possibly Afg v SA) to determine who goes through between NZ, Pak and Afg.

Somehow “we will fight like cornered tigers” doesn’t sounds the same coming from ababa Azam as it does with Imran.

But maybe Pakistan can make an imprbable late run
