The Most Entertaining Pace Bowler to Watch

Chrish

International Debutant
Most entertaining bowler would also have some on-field personality that sets them apart from the crowd.

Shoaib and Steyn meet this criteria for me from my time of watching. I could never bring myself to hate Shoaib even when he said some silly things about our players. Same goes for Steyn; loved him all the same even when he sledged the **** out of our batsmen.

Yeah after Shoaib, Steyn was the pacer I found most exciting.

He was the type who would get wickets in clumps or get smashed. Then he had the crazy eyes and great celebrations.

Steyn’s MO and his on-field presence had a lot of Lillee about them.

He bowled outswing at 90mph and intimidated blokes with his presence. Anyone with an IQ greater than that of a gnat can see the similarities between them.

Corridor bowlers:

McGrath>Hadlee>Ambrose>Garner>Pollock

Swing bowlers:

Barnes>Wasim>Davidson>>>>>>>>Anderson

Outswing bowlers:

Steyn>Lillee>Trueman>Lindwall

Tearaways:

Holding>Donald>Waqar>Larwood>Tyson

Trying to fit some of them into categories.
I don't know why I just dug up a 4 year old post where I grouped Lillee and Steyn together.

Kirkut

International Regular
Shoaib Akhtar in 2002 was borderline superhuman.

Being a big muscular guy he was not built for fast bowling, but he persisted and generated pace through brute strength unlike someone with a complex biomechanical rhythm in Michael Holding.

He is still having knee issues even today shows how much he put his body through.
