Given the list of players that have moved on from Green over the last few seasons including Cloete, Goff, Towns, Feeney, Weber and probably others that escape me righ now i wouldn't say that Green were ever a 2 man team - that said Nathan Hoy is the best player in the Dev league for mine.
i was once a green man myself

That fact that i got 7 and 5 in the innings and outscored quite a few of the top batsmen is worrying.

Yeah the batting has been very sub-par so far...
Thats why i wanted a trade to Greens. But doesnt look like i will be here this season. Trade has kinda feel through and looks like red will get me.

Really should have made more of an effort to make that trade.
I don't know.

I'm sure that first offering a player who you want to release and then following it up with a player you don't even own is a really good strategy!

Verghese was released as a result of past and current inactivity. Verghese also stood behind Gundry and Hing in line for a spot in either the 5 day or the one day side. As such it was decided that Verghese should be allowed to pursue other options.

guys guys guys, its all pre season friendlies, doesnt mean that the form we show here we will take into the season. people that have played many season know that this is no form to take into the season, and only 2 comps ago we took out everything almost and even last year we where very competative, my form alone for a senior member has been sub standard but trust me when i say we will get back into the swing of things. and i too will score plenty of runs. Just work hard boys it wont be long.

Didnt we also have more than most in the U19s pre-season as well? I dont know how many will be first choice but it could be argued that the Green squad was spread thinly during these early games. I could be wrong but it looks like we have had a lot of guys playing and a pretty deep squad.

Im confident for the season, and despetate to wipe the arrogant smiles off a few opposition faces this season. We can and will surprise people. :)
