Day One

Australia once again called correctly and this time sent England in to bat. Opener Daemon couldn't reproduce his last game, and clipped a bouncer from O'Fcoco to short leg in the fast bowler's second over. That brought in Vicente to try and safely negotiate the conditions, and though he and Arquis saw off the opening bowlers, Starfighter came on to bowl a fiery spell that dismissed both Vicente and Howe in quick succession, and two overs later nabbed Worcester-Park's outside edge to leave England on a perilolus 54/4. Sir Mole counter-attacked, giving England a boost as he hit four fours off a David over later in the session, but at the other end Ruid picked up Arquis for 28, and so England took lunch still struggling on 110/5.

England's bat deep straegy was to pay off and got them somewhat out of the hole in the afternoon. And Ruid collected his second when Herregonaes nicked behind early in the session, but Mole was there to put on a further 30 with NGIN Roome and an unbeaten 49 with Inksquid before the break. At tea the score was 210/7, with Mole advancing to 77 not out.

Mole's crucial innings couldn't be turned into a hundred as Ruid struck again with the allrounder on 90. But Inskquid and, surprisingly, Smyth-Brown, continued where the fightback had left off, with Thexton David in particular unable to find any consistency. With an eighth wicket stand of 73 and a ninth wicket stand approaching three figures after that, England had fought their way back into the game. 327/8 was the score at stumps.

Day Two

Sonny O'Fcoco made the breakthrough early on the second day, but not before Inksquid could get a few away and Smyth-Brown raised his first half-century. Inkquid charged on for a hundred, but Davis lost his off peg to O'Fcoco to conclude the innings with the wicketkeeper on 95*. 30 runs added.

Responding to a total of 357, Australia made a strong and positive start with the bat. The visitors reached lunch without loos and raised the fifty opening stand just after. Jevali and Duff continued to hit back for Australia, with Duff taking a liking to Vicente later in the session as the spinner conceded 19 off his first two overs. The hundred stand came and went as both openers got past fifty, and the opening partnership was only broken with 126 on the board when Smyth-Brown bowled Jevali. Duff pushed on, and was all set for a century when an attempt to clonk Roome into the stands led to him holing out for 97. 189/2 was the score at tea.

Slim and Delonge took the platform and boosted it, taking Australia's score past the 200 mark as they batted smoothly for an hour but couldn't quite make the start count. Davis and Mole had been the pick of the bowlers in terms of economy and both were rewarded in quick succession ot get both set batsmen. With the game in the balance at 230/4, Keast's solid 40* and Ruthless' swifter 36* in the final hour of the day put the advantage back to the visitors. They were 53 behind with six wickets in hand.

I'm not sure dropping Thrust has worked so far. Really need the bowlers to come good in the morning session tomorrow

Day Three

Joel Keast and Babe Ruthless pushed Australia towards their needed victory on the third morning as their stand past the hundred mark, and then took the visitors into the lead. Both players racked up fifty, the second new ball failing to do much for the England attack, before Gazunda Herregonaes came on to try and do something about it. In his spell before lunch he picked up both batsmen pinged in front. At lunch the score was 410/6.

After the break Herregonaes picked up his third without the assistance of a fielder as Kasinathan had his stumps rearranged, and Starfighter's cameo ended when he looped a Vicente delivery to the boundary fielder. At 433/8 there was a good chance of limiting Australia's lead to double figures, but Ruid and especially O'Fcoco chanced their arm and it paid off, the wheels coming off the England attack and the score balooning past 500. The declaration came with the Australians 145 ahead.

With just over a session to play with in order to make good on their lead, the Australians also found their pace attack blunted by a determined stand from England's openers as they sought to protect their series lead. Both Arquis and Daemon continued their good form into the final home innings of the series and raised half centuries in the dim light, which would prove to be unbeaten by stumps. England had shaved off most of the deficit and would go into day four only 25 runs behind.

Daemon lasted exactly one ball of day 4, edging it behind off O'Fcoco. The fast bowler bookended his morning spell with another wicket, that of Vicente after an attacking stand of 41 that took England into the lead. Arquis and Howe would continue in the same positive vein, putting on 46 in nine overs before Thexton David capped Howe's contribution to a cameo. By this time Arquis was eyeing his second ton of the series, and raised his bat just before lunch. At 240/3 England were 95 ahead at the break.

Arquis and Worcester-Park took the lead into thre figures but the Australians kept chipping away and Arquis played onto his stumps off Ruid for a fine 112. At the other end O'Fcoco was building up some pace with the old ball, and got rid of Mole of 5. Worcester-Park and Herregonaes responded with a counter-attacking stand that took England past 300 (and a score of 150), but then the collapse came. With the lead on 160, Sonny O'Coco dismissed Worcester-Park lbw and in the same over collected Roome for 4 to complete the seamer's five-wicket haul. The very next over saw Ruid claim two in two by seeing off Herregonaes and nabbing Smythe-Brown first ball at short leg. 312/9 and 167/9 in effect.

But Davis blocked out the hat trick ball and more besides as Inkquid rallied the England tail. With Davis looking to survive and occasionally rotate the strike, the England wicketkeeper took charge, hitting a flurry of blows that would clamber England's lead past 200 by tea, and continued going afterwards. Inksquid clonked two massive sixes of a David over to the delight of the home crowd, and the 10th wicket stand had reached 93 before David struck back to finally dismiss him for 74.

Australia would chase 260 to win, in three and a half sessions.

Australia's openers made it almost to the end of the day unbeaten as England had to work hard to find a way through. NGIN Roome provided the last wicket of the day when he got Jevali out late on for 14, but by that time Duff had been able to push the score up towards 50. 206 to get with nine wickets in hand to level the series.
