Would like to see Australia win this. It’s an amazing stat that they have never won it and would be a great underdog story
Yeah fair dues
Australia seems like a gelled team under finch
Good team spirit and sense of team
All that said The Australian inning will come down to whether New Zealand have good plans for Warner

Whatever it takes!!!
On a more serious note, yes, the toss has been a huge advantage especially in Dubai and especially before the last week but teams still have to play well to win games. T20 is a format where even if you slip up for 10 mins, you can be sent packing. Sure, England and Pakistan looked the best sides in the tournament but then again, they won a lot of important tosses in the big games and when they did lose the toss and had to defend, they could not. Like Tom Moody said, these two sides have peaked at the right time and absolutely deserve to win this tournament.

That said, I feel Australia will have the edge here even if they bat first, simply because there is more cricket quality in their XI than NZ's, IMO. Obviously toss could well be decisive again coz even with less dew, it is still that much easier to bat second than it is to bat first. If Finch does not get needlessly fancy and uses Hazlewood and Starc for the first 4 overs in the PP, I think we will see some early wickets with the NZ openers not quite the best for this type of bowling. NZ has the edge in the middle overs when they bowl though. Ultimately, it could come down to who bowls less bad balls at the death and I am backing Australia to do that.

Who do I wanna win, on one hand I hatre the Australians with all my heart, and this lot seem just as much a bunch of wankers than most XI of said rogues as any. OTOH the Kiwis seem a nice bunch of chaps who obviously deserve it.

Yet in the end it would be hilarious to see another explosion from their fans on here if they lose, hopefully in a massively unfair way. So am conflicted (spoiler I'm not really).

Good analysis. Good read.
Australia has better batting too
As I mentioned a big part of these finals is composure. That is New Zealand’s edge
Kane Williamson is the best captain in our history both from a tactical point of view and an inspiration point of view
Losing Conway is ok as long as we have Kane
From what I understand from different interviews the players feel ten feet tall walking out into battle with Kane leading them out.

we will not panic like deers in headlights like we did in 2015

This should be a bit of fun. Is it odd that I still don't care about the T20 World Cup as much as the ODI one? There's no real reason they should be viewed differently now.

This rock-paper-scissors thing NZ have going with Australia and India does not favour us tonight, but hey one day paper will beat scissors, right.
