And what got him into the academy? 50 Wickets at 22...
But it wasn't enough to get him into any full squad though, that was more based on being in the right place at the right time (remember there were a few quicks called up from England ahead of him)

And i shall be captaining the Under 17s side, opening the batting for Midweek League Team, hopefully for Sunday team too, and 'helping' Neil with his Under 15s side.

Anyone care to give me any tips on how to get a side that currently doesn't have 11 players to win a few matches this season (U17s)?
Bribe the oppo? ;)

It got him recognition and it went from there. Certianly he would have got nowhere near the squad with Dawson's figures. And not only because we don't have a lack of seamers.

Oh, and going back to the original post, the only place you're likely to be able to see Ian Clifford is in the 2nd XI unless there's a run of injuries!

I'm looking forward to Sehwag and hope he gets more bowling too . I think he will be a big success . Is Srinath playing for Durham or is he just a bowling coach. And hoping to see Harbhajan play well too and hoping AA gets the chance to play too.

Hmmmm not bad, but I would see who does better out of Bell and Troughton then pick them.

That's a bit harsh on Rob Key, but then again he is more suited to opening!

If that is the 12 I would push Flintoff up to 6, then Stewart, White, Giles, and possibly Hoggard, Anderson.

I think he potentially is, and he needs to be put there and told that he from now on has to bat as a top 6 player (and use his judgement a bit more when it comes to when to attack) since whoever comes in for Stewart long term is certainly not going to be good enough to bat there.

By putting him at 6, it allows the 4 other bowlers to be played, and gives us the variety needed (ability to include 4 pace and 1 spinner)

Also, tracking his career as a Test Batsman, he averaged over 27 in 2002, scoring 2 fifties and a hundred. If he can continue in that vein, he is a very useful player to have since his bowling is really beginning to click (although his figures don't show that)

Why in the world would anyone pick Hick at this stage??? He's been tried and he's failed over and over and over again. Besides, how old is he now, 100? :)

If the English selectors are deluded enough to pick Hick, they'll just be moonwalking.....

Bell/Key
Flintoff

Caddick/Gough
Anderson

If Gough is fit, I would employ a rotation policy between him and Caddick in order to ease in the new talent and alternatively, to ease Caddick out.
