Sorry mate, but that would be like GO Jones keeping ahead of Chris Read. If Burke plays, he'll likely keep as he is the better keeper.

then what's with me doing the keeping for the OD then if Burke's the better keeper in both forms? I just like to add to my FC record for best keeper.

He's not in the OD side. I'm sure you understand that just as he is the better keeper, you are the better batsman. Don't worry, we know what we're doing. :D

A bit disapointed at my showing in that match, my first innings 50 was ok, i was sorta hoping that i would carry on. Absolutely, delighted, that the powers that be deemed to let me bowl. Sorry, that i couldnt provide the breakthrough, though. ER was ok, i guess, but there was some splendid batting from jaso, well done mate. Come on men, lets give these guys a fight.
GO COLTS!!!

I'm hoping that giving you a shot a bit lower down the order will give you a nice run, Nayak, as that's where you scored your two centuries (if I remember correctly).

The first was down the order. The second was at number 3, agaist the Reds, in the "farce".

Unfortunate that...the bowling didn't seem to click and we just fell apart after a pretty good first innings performance.

Just seeking confirmation - we're cooked for finals in both FC and OD? Or are we still a chance on OD?
The Colts are still in the running in the OD format if you win all your remaining matches. And, even if you were to win two and take the bonus point in the other a finals spot is possible, but would depend on other results. There's still a maximum of 15 points up for grabs for you guys, and if you got that you might even finish on top. FC is finished after yesteray's result though, it's just between Blue, Green and Red now.

You can tell we're in trouble when I bowl enough overs to take two wickets in each innings :P
Meanwhile, who here is playing Club Cricket? I'm in the a team with Malthus-Howell, Jasotharan and Thomas. Is anyone else signing up?

oh, and on the topic of trying to set something up differently, do u think, i could become more of a stonewaller at no. 3, sort of someone in the hakon mould?. Because im not really one for the slap bang jasotharan type, run a ball hundred. So if it was possible, if can i be moved back from the no. 6 spot to the no.3 spot, and become a sort of chris tavare, hakon sorta guy?.

I think we have two games left this season, I'm not sure this will definitely go ahead next game but I'll be sure to raise it up in the selections for the last game if it doesn't.

Right now you're not really in a "slap bang" role, just so you're aware. It hasn't been often that we've given anyone a "high aggression" order during the FC season.

It sounds feasable (listen to me... I sound like my friggin English teacher), as we need someone to bat through the innings. And if Wrangler puts his hand up then sweet. I agree that it's worth a go in one of the remaining games.

Of course, at the same time, we need a form batsman at #3, which sadly Nayak is not the leading man in. But as the remaining two games are dead rubbers for us, I'll bring it up in the next selection email. :)

I've just never been the kind of guy to make promises until he knows he can make them. :D Only the vice, here. ;)
