Yet you haven't been captain for god knows how long and haven't called your teammates a ****ing turncoat and told them to sod off.

Colts player ratings for FC game against Green

S.G. Fitzsimmons: Scores of 30 and 37 just weren't good enough on the pitch provided, especially from a man in good form. He should be converting those scores into big ones. 4/10

M. Hopgood: It is important for Hopgood to convert his starts. The reason he was selected in this game was because he had a hundred where Malthus had not converted his starts. Will need to convert these in future games. 4/10

D.P. Towns: Towns showed how important he is to the side. He had no problem returning to the FC arena with a fine century in the first innings, which at least made sure the Colts weren't facing a big first innings deficit and possible defeat. Also got in some extra batting practice in the second innings with a good not out score. 10/10

C.R. Butler: Looked a little rusty in the white clothes, however he spent time in the middle which is the most important thing for 'Buts' as he resumes his career with the Colts. Will need to start converting his starts. 4/10

S. Jasotharan: Continues to blaze attacks and score at a freakish rate. However, he needs to realise that sometimes he needs to temper his attacking flair to build partnerships. He also realises he shouldn't be wasting his good form. Good game with the gloves. 5/10

W.A. Kerr: The rookie continues to impress after a slow start to his FC career. A handy first innings score, and yet another second innings not out. 5/10

M.W. Wilson: Contributed well with the bat in the first innings, and bowled tidily and picked up important wickets. It is becoming evident why the Colts chased him so hard, he makes a bid difference to the side. 8/10

N.R. Hancock: Didn't get much of an opportunity with the bat, and was a little expensive with his bowling. However, he did pick up two important wickets 4.5/10

T.V. Weber: Weber must continually get frustrated not being able to bowl to a pitch of his liking, as he has shown what he can do when the pitch is spin-friendly. To keep his spot in the side, he needs to contribute more with the bat. 3/10

K.S. Wright: The Colts captain is still struggling for form, and a pitch like this would have done no good to his confidence. Still has the habit of getting set batsmen out. 1/10

G.M. Thomas: Is slowly building the reputation of a once-in-a-lifetime bowler. Even though the pitch was in the favour of the batsmen, he was still able to pick up three wickets. 6/10

Player Points:

Towns 3
Wilson 2 (8)
Thomas 1 (4)

Colts player ratings for OD game against Blue

S. Jasotharan: Did the right thing and took the backseat as Hopgood went out of the blocks early, however he didn't build on his start. 2/10

M. Hopgood: Out of the blocks early, but could not build on an impressive start. 3.5/10

D.P. Towns: Has a habit of being run out, and it was a crucial run out given the final result. After getting himself in he should have made more. 4/10

C.R. Butler: Looked very, very good in his innings of 40, however, got out when wickets were falling. It is becoming a common theme for Butler this season, in getting starts and not converting. 4/10

P. Bharat: Situation was perfect for her rescuing skills. Wasn't to be. First ball duck. 0/10

T.V. Weber: Really needs to produce more with the bat, or take a lot more wickets. 0.5/10

M.W. Wilson: Had a rare game where he had no impact. Can't do it all the time. 0.5/10

N.R. Hancock: Is asking to be moved up the order with another impressive innings, but could only do so much. Expensive with the ball. 5/10

T. Bochat: Again showed he is a more than handy lower order batsman, and bowled without luck. 5/10

J.P. McNamara: In a very disapointing day for the Colts, McNamara was the only one to show any ticker. Certainly in the form of his life and must be putting pressure on Weber for his FC spot. 8.5/10

K.S. Wright: The captain did mention at the press conference at the end of the game that he doesn't know how much longer he can justify his spot in the OD side, especially if he can't keep the side winning. Disapointing game for the captain. 0/10

Player Points:

McNamara 3 (9)
Hancock 2 (5)
Bochat 1 (3)

An unchanged FC side has been named to face Black.

Really looking for more impact from the bowlers, with myself and Weber really needing to add some strike power to our efforts. Also, looking for the batspeople to build on their starts rather than get out.

Right. We have one more OD & FC game before the end of the halfway point. It has been a disapointing quarter after we had such a good start to the season. It would be really nice to get a win in both forms to get our season back on track.

The OD side has been named, there have been no changes to the personel, however Wilson will take the new ball with Bochat, and I will move to first change. This is my worst OD season by far, and I need wickets to keep my place in the side, and can no longer justify taking the new ball over Wilson who has been bowling really well. Weber also needs runs/wickets to hold onto his place. It would be also nice to see Bharat and Butler score a few runs to hold onto their spots.

FC side will be named later.

FC side for tonight's fixture against Green has been named. Two changes with Malthus replacing Hopgood at the top of the order. It was felt that Hopgood was selected ahead of Malthus because he was converting his starts to big scores, however his efforts in the last two games are disapointing. Malthus has the ability to bat for a long time and have partnerships built around him. McNamara replaces Weber. Weber, just hasn't been able to strike often enough. We are aware the pitches weren't to his favour, but in the end it's about taking wickets. Jack has been in excellent form in the OD games, time for him to be given a chance.

Good luck to all those selected. Time to get our FC season back on track.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Go Colts!

Our batsmen have been excellent thus far but IMO us bowlers really need to hunt in a pack and ompletely demolish a team as a unit.

Colts player ratings for FC game against Black

S.G. Fitzsimmons: Only Colts batsperson to show any application. His second innings century was not supported by his team mates. One player who can hold their head up high after a very disapointing loss. 8/10

M. Hopgood: One could say that the rookie batsman is wasting his form. He looks to be hitting the ball as well as anyone in the league, however he is getting out after doing the hard work. Simply needs to do more at this level consistently. 3.5/10

D.P. Towns: Disapointing game for Towns with a personal contribution of less than 40 runs for the match. The Colts vice captain can be excused after playing a vital innings in the previous game, however he needs to be consistent and provide backbone at the top of the order. 3/10

C. R. Butler: Looks to be finding some form. Batted very well in the first innings, and the only true assistance he received was from Kerr, however that was not enough to avoid the follow-on. Butler still needs to score big runs for the Colts, His starts are getting better, still needs to carry on. 5/10

S. Jasotharan
: Provided his first real failure of the season, however it was bound to happen as he has carried the team all season with his bat. The Colts still need him to regain form again, quickly if they are to return to the winnner's list. 1/10

W.A. Kerr: The rookie's performance cannot be faulted this season. After initially struggling, the youngster has found his feet quickly. Yet to score a century, but there's no doubt he'll get there as he is now consistently scoring runs. They ability to build an innings will come with more experience. Showed great heart in this game. 6.5/10

M.W. Wilson: You rarely keep this man out of a game. Again performed an important allround role for the Colts. Contributed with a half century in the second innings. 5/10

N.R. Hancock: Chipped in with the bat in both innings. Rather innefective with the ball. 3/10

T.V. Weber: Again lacked the strike power that is required of a first choice spinner. Did an effective job as nigh****chman in the second innings. 1/10

K.S. Wright: Bowled without luck in the first innings, was terrible in the second. Chipped in with a handy lower order innings, in the first innings. 3/10

G.M. Thomas: Also bowled without luck in the first innings, still looks in very good form though. 3/10

Fitzsimmons 3 (6)
Kerr 2 (5)

Colts player ratings for OD game against Red

S. Jasotharan: Got the team off to a good start, but needed to hang around. 2.5/10

M. Hopgood: Out for 8. 1/10

D.P. Towns: Took more catches than runs scored. 1/10

C.R. Butler: Looked good, got a start, ran out of partners. 5/10

P. Bharat: Needs to start scoring runs. 2/10

T.V. Weber: Not doing enough with either bat or ball. Bowled tightly, but needs to take more wickets. 3.5/10

M.R. Wilson: Looked good. Ran out of partners. Bowled well. 6.5/10

N.R. Hancock: Didn't last long with the ball, came in to bat when it was too late. 1.5/10

T. Bochat: Still a little expensive, but taking wickets which is important. Has shown now, on more than one occasion he can use the long handle well. Could one day be a match winner with the bat. 7/10

J.P. McNamara: The standout player for the Colts yet again. Certainly in the form of his life. Must be taken seriously for higher honours now, especailly with the bowlers struggling at the Champions Trophy. 10/10

K.S. Wright: Looks like the same-old-Wright, but just isn't getting the returns. Bowling without luck all the time. Averaging near 50 now and his place in the OD side must be looked at, considering the Colts aren't winning. 0.5/10

Player points:

McNamara 3 (12)
Bochat 2 (5)
Wilson 1 (9)

Don't worry, I'm 99.9% sure you'll get more chances this season, particularly when it's possible that all three of Thomas, Wright & Wilson get called up into the test squad.
