As per this announcement, i would like to introduce myself to my new team mates. For any guys that don't know me, i'm Thamba Mamesh, CW Test opener. I'm really looking forward to playing with you guys this season, hopefully all the paper work goes through pretty soon.

Best signing around, really. Welcome aboard, Thamba.

Nice to know we got our first choice trade. Mamesh is a sensational player and will have a big role in the future of the team. Welcome aboard.

Smith hasn`t done anything wrong IMO. He may have been able to show more courtesy in some respects perhaps, but he can`t force players to leave their teams obviously. If he`s the only one being pro-active in recruiting a team, then good on him. A big benefit of being an active member.

Right well, I recieved a very attractive offer from Green, and I have spent some time considering it.

It is thus not easy that I have to announce that I will be leaving Blue - the offer recieved was simply too attractive. I have enjoyed my time at Blue, and would like to have thought I have played a part in a fair amount of success over the years. With the emergence of Currie last season, spin-bowling at Blue looks in good hands. I have enjoyed my time at Blue, and wish you all the best in the future. It was fun.

There goes my theory about spinners being loyal. Then again it would be nice to see Halsey play on a spinner friendly pitch. Massive loss for Blue though.

Contrary to popular belief, this actually isn't a bad thing for Blue at all. Good luck at Green, Tom.

Blue have a large amount of spin bowlers, you may lose one of the best but you've got some quality waiting in the wings.
I think its more to do with the nature of the pitch, they are better off playing a extra seamer then 2nd spinner.

Horrible news, really. Tom is extremely well respected around the Blue camp and it's a shame to see him go. Gives Matt a real chance now.

Ideally Liam's comments aren't a go at Tom, but just saying it would ease a headache we have over here with the bowling stocks. Shame one of the best is moving.

Good luck, Tom. Have fun at Green.

Exactly that. The two main problems with the Blue squad are:

1. Too many bowlers.
2. Too many internationals.

Halsey is both a bowler and an international, so by him moving to Green, it eases the stress of me figuring out who to trade/cut.

I hear Camps Jnr is quite dire and is due to be axed from the blue squad?
I heard Kennett's Test bowling form has fallen so far that he's being compared with Camps jr.

Oh yes. I'm willing to sacrifice my pride to effect a burn.

Rumour on the street is that Big Trav Demeza will be opening the bat in one dayers instead of Camps.

Same rumours are suggesting Kim Beasley is going to make a comeback.
