Oh that reminds me of something I was sposed to ask last season lol.

How did Sean come to being Vice Captain in his second season
Would probably be because he is a level headed guy who doesn't let any form of emotions get in his way to disturb his ability to lead.

?

;)

Whoa there children, or we might have to let Nath loose on you.

Sean is more than capable and deserving of his captaincy and I find it particular disturbing that someone as senior as you Cloete should be questioning the competency of a team-mate. Pull your socks up and start dancing.....

Sigh...

Like I said, it was something I was meant to ask last season because it was only his 2nd season. I didn't make reference at all to his ability to do it (and he's proved he's more than capable for reasons already suggested). But at the time I thought you or Simon were the bettter people for the job (incidentally, wasn't simon actually VC  ). Now it's different of course and Sean is definitely worthy (even though he was probably worthy last season), I was just wondering what the motives were behind it at the time.

History check:

Pete Young was named as captain of the Blues two seasons ago and I was vice-captain. Pete pulled out due to an inability to devote enough time to the role. I took over as captain then. Sean was named captain due to his impressive commitment to Blue, cricketing contributions, and general involvement in the CW XI system.

i dont want to get into any arguments but i do remember captaining Blue to the FC title a couple of seasons ago when you were injured, i think i captained the last 6 or 7 games from memory, so obviously i was somewhere up there at some stage...

I'm fairly sure that while Simon was VC, both he and Liam (and you and Pete as well, I think) went away on international duties. Hence, somebody had to captain the team during that period last season. I don't think it was a matter of being selected over more experienced players and the current VC, so much as being selected to lead the team while the internationals were absent and having some success in the role.

Cool :)

Interesting though, I didn't know PYwas captain, but then again I wasn't at Blues so I didn't really keep track of all your comings and goings.
