Pre-seasons off to a good start, good win in the warm up game
I'll second that...a few runs in both innings, a wicket in each innings without getting pasted, not too bad for a first outing.

Picked up Mohammad Sami both times. Does that make him my bunny? :D

With the trade being officially announced while I was away, I haven't had a proper chance to sign on.

But I am delighted to be at Blue and am hoping for big things from the very talented team. Hopeully we can eperience a fair amount of success this season. Anyway I'm sure I'll fit in well here!

PreSeason Coaching Thoughts:

RGEWS Cribb
- looks good in the nets and has been solid with regular starts in the warmups.

MP Phillips
- generally finding lovely rhythm and consistency of length.

R Harris
- lots of fight shown with the bat, but perhaps a little underbowled heading into the season.

MW de Silva
- stroking the ball nicely, but a bit more concentration required at times.

TJ Demeza
- a decent net session or two. Smooth run up and good pace.

SE Fuller
- a couple of quality innings give an indication of big things. Bowling has been pacy and consistent.

BL Wilshere
- not much form at the moment, but lots of application in the nets is encouraging.

A Crampton
- great look with the bat, but also a few careless shots played in the warmups and practice.

NL Patrick
- not in his best form right now, but is expected to get his rhythm soon with the press of the meaningful matches.

DP Tucker
- very little playing time in the offseason, but looks in useful touch with the bat and ball.

AAA Collins
- the best bowler in the warmups. Consistent line and length and steady all 'round.

D Jellett
- seems somewhat distracted at the crease and behind the stumps atm.

SC Popat
- as expected, looks purposeful at the crease, but not in his best bowling form yet.

AP Cloete
- not at his best, but still far better than most.

SJ Fitzsimmons
- a couple of very mature innings in the warmups, but not quite timing the ball yet.

PE Young
- very little time in the middle and not looking very confident so far.

TC Halsey
- good variations and accuracy as he continues to mature it seems.

LA Camps
- not much practice time, but looking in reasonable for with bat and ball.

Looks to be a very good, balanced squad. I think we'll be the team to beat this year, particularly in the five dayers.

Feeling a bit rusty...might have to head down to the nets for a few sessions...

So, who's ready for a lesson in how to play cricket tomorrow? The Reds are the best are the best around at it, so watch and learn.
If you don't want to learn, we'll just have to beat you heavier, then.

GO REDS!!!!!!
