Just out of curiosity, what does the PDV in our stadium stand for?
Something Death Valley, I believe. The Baconator said:Just out of curiosity, what does the PDV in our stadium stand for?

Prems Death Valley effectively. The Baconator said:Just out of curiosity, what does the PDV in our stadium stand for?

Looks good. Only a couple of changes from the first warm-up, but I guess the next pair of games will see a complete overhaul to give everyone a go in both forms? Anyway, the team looks good for a warmup.Mr Mxyzptlk said:Suggested lineup for the OD warmup:
AP Cloete - batsman
LA Camps (C) - allrounder/fast medium
MW DeSilva - batsman/fast medium
RGEWS Cribb - batsman/legspin
BL Wilshere - batsman
SE Fuller - allrounder/fast medium
A Crampton (wk) - batsman
MJC Currie - allrounder/offspin
AAA Collins - bowler/left medium
NL Patrick - bowler/fast
TJ Demeza - bowler/left fast
12th Man: SG Fitzsimmons
13th Man: TC Halsey
Patrick and Demeza to open the bowling, with Adam working in the middle overs. Fuller stands as either 1st or 2nd change, depending on how Patrick and Demeza fair before the fielding restrictions are up, as I'd prefer for Adam not to bowl then. Currie/Cribb/Cloete will share whatever spin duties, with Currie favoured to get a good bowl in.
Once again, Camps bowls sparingly.
Cloete and Camps - having done so in ODIs - open the batting, with DeSilva coming in to keep the tempo up at 3. Cribb and Wilshere hold it steady in the middle overs, with Fuller in a Bevanesque role at number 6.
Thoughts?

That's the intention for the season. The specialist seamers will fight over the two spots and then the likes of Halsey, Fuller and Camps will support them, with Currie and Sudeep contributing with their allround talents.FaaipDeOiad said:Just to continue the discussion for selections later in the season, I'd have some concerns about the depth in the batting for an OD game if it were competitive, as I think with our long list of all-rounders we can afford to pick two specialist bowlers and one bowling all-rounder and bat down to 8 and 9. In this team for example you could drop one of Demeza or Collins and rely on Liam, myself and the part-timers to knock out 20 overs. Once Halsey comes into the team though, we might be left with too few pace options, so I guess we'll see how it goes.

I'd have put you infront of me, Nath.Nnanden said:I agree with Sean here. My OD record isn`t too flash, so perhaps drop me and shove in an extra batsman? We`ve got dome awesome part-timers, DeSilva! No point having gun bowlers in the team that aren`t bowling. But these comments are in regard to the season, not the warm-up games.
I reckon, go for Demeza, Adam and Halsey as specialists, and then have Liam, Fuller, Popat and co for the rest of them. Or the like.

There's no way you're being left out of the OD starting lineup. Your OD record looks pretty flash when it's up against mine.Nnanden said:I agree with Sean here.
