I'd like to watch this team in action at the SCG. A good mixture of different styles, and a ruthless bastard as a captain. Nice.

Yeah I agree, the team would be awesome at the SCG. Its a really hard, ruthless team with a wide variety of bowling options that should be good in all conditions.

Jardine as captain and Taylor as probably the most over qualified vice captain in any of the 16 sides. I think the team is superior to the World N team and would have a very close tussle with the M team.

Even the L and K XI's match up relatively evenly against the O XI, so it will be very interesting to see what happens with the bottom 8. What do we need to do now in order to get things organised?

There isn't a huge amount separating the second half, IMO. It all comes down to how they perform in the sim, I guess. The difference between the World F XI and World O XI isn't as big as one might think.

Yeah I'm not sure how easy or time consuming it is to input data into a sim for the 176 players named.

One Pakistani keeper had to be there among the 16 - there were 3 good ones available - Latif, Bari and Moin.

Also, Swann already better than all Indian spinners in history other than Kumble is an interesting call.

Depends what information PEWS has available to be honest - he may already have it, but if not I guess I'll need his figures (updated for current players) and a few hours of time with nothing else on!

Gupte and Chandrasekhar are especially harsh omissions. If we keep selecting, they'll surely get spots easily.

I will collate all of the numbers to input if that's what needs to be done, I am on holidays for over seven weeks and haven't got any shifts until next week, so I have plenty of time to kill.

Are we going to continue selecting sides?

Are you able to get in touch with him? It would be great if we could start it at some point shortly.

Chandra is within my top 10 spinners of all time. I was hoping he would be in a team with a offie and Engineer as keeper.

Should we keep going or what?

I wonder which team has scored the most Test runs and wickets? World A has probably taken the most wickets, world C perhaps for most runs, despite Grace not scoring many.

Definitely keep going with the selections, I think. They are really interesting and now we'll have three of us running them, it will be easier.

I'll tally up those team statistics tonight actually, it will be interesting and I need something to do whilst I watch the cricket/football.

We're going to be using standardised averages I'd assume, but we need to find out whether ITC needs more detailed career statistics to be accurate (SR, centuries scored, high score etc.) so I can collate them manually if that's what's needed.

Okay, I'll start the World P XI in a few minutes. I'm going to try something a little different and offer 8 or 9 spots today.

Openers
John Edrich- would really like to see him in a team.
Chris Gayle- three triple centuries from both my openers is impressive, Gayle the aggressor here.

Middle order
Dean Jones- so gutsy. Extremely talented.
Hashim Amla- so classy, what a talent.
Norman O'Neill- a forgotten star of the past.

Wicketkeeper
Gerry Alexander- great keeper, excellent batsman and a gentleman.

Spinner
Tony Lock- again harsh on Gupte and Chandra, but Lock was deadly.

Pacemen
Mohammad Asif- explained beforehand. Outstanding bowler.
Wayne Daniel- I'll vote for Toshack later, it was a toss-up here.
