The ATG World XI's game

Kevin Pietersen and Stan McCabe finish 1,2 with Chanderpaul and Kanhai tied. I think the top 2 batsman should bat at 3,4 so I went for Shivnarine Chanderpaul to bat at 5. The fact that he's a lefty adds to the balance of the side too.

Hugh Tayfield finished ahead of Kumble by one vote.

Aubrey Faulkner - good enough to bat at 6 plus serves as a fifth bowler.
Jeff Thompson - for a G XI to compete with the other sides, they need something to differentiate them; provide something nobody else has. Thompson does that with pure speed.

Aubrey Faulkner- Simply too good to be still available.
Jason Gillespie- Very under rated and a great support bowler.

Faulkner easily the best cricketer left. Definately a batsman first when you consider his numbers against those of his associates, so can bat #6.

Maurice Tate for #8. Test centurion and county double-centurion, and yet Wisden called him the founder of modern seam bowling.

Head says Faulkner, heart says Woolley for the batsman who can bowl spot in the team.

John Snow was an easy pick. Best English quick to pull on boots.

Faulkner and Snow it is.

As usual my second pick not getting any votes so will switch from Gillespie to Croft.
