19 years agocounting not your forte mate?
and im sure if we roll out the lawns the southee/boult average will equal the ashwin/jadeja one, but sadly 20 years ago this team came to nz and cried because there was grass on a cricket field, and in true trust fund baby fashion they threatened to take their (dads) bat and ball away if they had to play cricket on grass ever again.
state highway one or even better, an imitation of the surface of mars was perfectly acceptable for that child to play on. coincidentally of course.
it's true, despite having a fantastic side, the largest fanbase by several hundred million, the most pervasive media and biggest wallet by several hundred zillion, you are in fact, a persecuted cricketing nation and unjustly held down by the power of countries who care more about soccer, rugby union, weird names for sausages and stopping the boats respectively. No, here's how it works -
1. Indian Spinners are worse than their averages suggest because they play on dust bowls.
2. Indian Batsman are worse than their averages suggest because they play on flat pitches.
3. Indian pacers are worse than their averages suggest because why will it be any different for them?
straaaayaaaaaaaa ****Who cares about stopping the boats
If Kane had a mouth like yours you guys would have had a world cup by now.it's true, despite having a fantastic side, the largest fanbase by several hundred million, the most pervasive media and biggest wallet by several hundred zillion, you are in fact, a persecuted cricketing nation and unjustly held down by the power of countries who care more about soccer, rugby union, weird names for sausages and stopping the boats respectively.

At least try writing him a strongly worded letter about how he should have been a bit more forceful when the umpires were stealing the final away from NZ. You can include the Ganguly story to fire him up.if i could talk sports teams into success i wouldn't be wasting that talent on cw

I think the second part of the criticism was towards the previous generations of Indian batsman who did indeed played an awful lot of cricket on flat wickets. Likes of Dravid, Tendulkar and Laxman did produce the goods away Sehwag, Ganguly and Gambhir less so. First part of the criticism is more towards current batch of Indian spinners who does get to bowl a lot more on turning wickets compared to their predecessors and this is factually correct when you look at decade by decade stats. No one rated Indian pacers for so long because they were rubbish until now they seem to have found few decent ones.
I believe he meant it is "always" and not "mostly"How's it in any less true than Ashwin and Jadeja bowling in conditions friendlier to them?
It would have only been a surprise if you had not seconded a post criticizing Indian players.seconded
i wasn't though. I was trying to categorize the types of criticism out there and the types of players to which they were aimed at.It would have only been a surprise if you had not seconded a post criticizing Indian players.
