I completely missed the "bowling allrounders" word. Yeah, Shakib is a good addition.Symonds and Jayasuria are batting all rounders, imo.
If I wanted a spinner I would probably change the XI to
AC Gilchrist
Q de Kock
KC Sangakara
ABDV
MS Dhoni *
JC Butler
Shakib al Hasan
Imran Khan
Andrew Flintoff
Kapil Dev
Shaun Pollock
12th man: Shahid Afridi
But then Shakib at 7? Using this logic shouldn't Shakib be at 5 and the other 2 belowDropped Symonds down to 6, despite being a better #5 than Flintoff because Flintoff was nowhere near as good at teeing off from the get go.
Agreed with Stephen's team. Stokes has to uproot Flintoff to get into the team. That is his place and I think he will in due course.Stokes should be punching the door down for these sort of teams now
Again no Brett Lee is a travesty but we had that conversation alreadyAdam Gilchrist
Matthew Hayden
Ricky Ponting
Steve Smith
Michael Bevan
Michael Hussey
Shane Watson
Mitchell Starc
Shane Warne
Nathan Bracken
Glenn McGrath
No one beats that.
Nah no way. Hogg did a adequate job filling in for Warne but there is a huge gap in quality even in ODIsReplace Warne with Hogg and you've got a stronger team. I'd get Symonds in there too, possibly instead of Watson if he's going to bat 7.
The fielding in that ring would be ****ed. Ponting, Symonds, Hogg, Smith, Hussey
Agree to disagree. IMO Australia didn't lose anything replacing replacing Warne with Hogg, but they gained a better batsman and fielder. People forget how good Hogg was in ODIs, his wrong-un was near unreadable.Nah no way. Hogg did a adequate job filling in for Warne but there is a huge gap in quality even in ODIs
LikelyI dont think Australia would have won the 1999 WC if not for Warne.
May be because it's not clear if he is a bowling all-rounderKlusenar not even in an all-rounders XI shows how underrated he is. In ODIs, he can potentially get a place in the ATG ODI team let alone ATG all-rounders team.
Klusener for Stokes imo.AT subcontinent

Wanted Symonds and Watson there but honestly ended not picking cos it started to look like AT Australia
Who'd win?
