Although this would be quite interesting, it would also clog up Cricket Chat IMO, so I would just go with the standard voting method. You could always sim the games on Internet Test Cricket and show us the results here
Shouldn't be THAT big a problem imo. Yes there will be a new poll everyday, agreed. But it will go down and get buried as soon as the next one is up. Whenever Ive played drafts in other forums, I did it like this and it went down pretty quickly never to be seen again.
What I have in mind is we make 4 groups of 3 teams, and arrange polls. By that way, in every game, the two managers can tell us why their team will beat the other team, and opposition specific tactics etc. And then the voters can decide and vote.
Also, I am thinking of adding a rule that the winning manager can pick a player from the losing team and add him to his squad. But since there will be groups, the two teams that qualify from the group will pick one player each from the knocked out team.
For example, A, B and C are in Group 1. A and B qualify. So then, first A picks a player from C and add him to his squad then B picks a player from C and adds him to his squad. This way as the tournament progresses the teams will get stronger and the knockouts will have quality matchups.
Also, when you increase your squad, the playing 11 in any game has to respect the 3 players from one country rule. You can have more than 3 players from a country in your squad, but not in playing 11.
The polls for each game can be open for 24 hours.
Also, we should go for a 12th man. To make it fair for those who were drawn at the bottom of 11th round.
