Quite a lot of overlap in dates yet completely different stats?
Looks like a bug in the code, if only one peak is to be considered. However if there are more than one peak it can produce results as such.

No that was two different lists. He found the peak in one and the trough in the other. No bug.

a lot of kallis haters feeling really goofy at the moment

edit: it is also so funny to me that warner tops out at 53 given he was so dominant here, because he was just so bad away
Why? Nobody disputes that Kallis had great numbers in the 2000s. Chanders has an almost identical peak average. In fact look at how many peaks are in that era of 2000 to 2015, says alot.

The comparison between Kallis and Ponting is especially amusing for me, considering their peaks are almost perfect overlaps.

it's more because kallis got punked in almost every single one of those comparison threads
@Migara vindicated as usual with samaraweera's numbers

Because of the way he played and a great SR. Bowling to Ponting is that period was much more intimidating than Dravid or Kallis.
Im not comparing him to Dravid and Kallis, I think he’s better than both. I’m comparing him to Border, Chappell, Smith and Waugh. His peak flatters him somewhat because of the era he played in.

I agree somewhat which is why I rate Chappell and Smith higher and Border/Waugh are nearly the same level as Ponting.

Yeah, pretty much what tjb said. He didn't have a long career so there's gonna be some overlap between his best and worst with a 5 year cut-off. The non-overlapping periods here cover some of his best and worst years.
