They weren't full at all IMO and that was my point essentially. If anything, as you said, a little wide, but they'd never be balls you'd wish to get as a batsman really.
Yup, I think simmy must have been talking about different shots.

Hopefully Samuels can get down the other end so Franklin can get in an over or two to the new batsman and get some confidence back.

Of late, really poor, actually.

In general though, he's a pretty good ODI bowler.
To be fair, he had been bowling in the Chappell Hadlee series on tiny grounds. Repeatedly slog-swept when he bowled length. He has still been well below his best though, I agree.

As a bowler, Styris is infinitely better than Collingwood, really. Very much in the same style though, yes.
My thoughts exactly, is more vital to the team in terms of bowling than Collingwood.

Samuel's just struck a glorious cover drive off Oram, absolute class. He's just so frustrating though, has huge amounts of talent just never seems to have the right attitude.

Good to see Oram bowling well in ODIs again. I was beginning to think he had "lost it" as an ODI bowler. He's hit a good length this whole spell and, most notably, seems to have fixed up his seam position which has been dire of late.

Nice ball from Oram, fair bit of lift. I didn't actually hear the noise but McCullum was very confident.

Hoping I can see some Lara magic, he's just so beautiful to watch.

Oram providing another vital breakthrough. The NZ side always seems more balanced when the likes of Styris and Oram are bowling well. Good site to see for a NZ supporter

I can say, with some confidence that if Lara goes early, NZ will win the game.

I think Bond should come back on now. Just to try and blast out another one.

Predictions like that at such early stages are just stupid tbh.

Now predictions at this stage are predictions.

So if said at the start of the game "I fancy Windies to win".. then they are stupid?!?!

I don't think so, if we get Lara early then it's Chris Gayle batting with the lower order batsman like Bravo, Smith and Simmons. I wouldn't count on too many runs from those three.

Brian Lara is looking very watchful, he's obviously very keen to get West Indies out of trouble.
