Knew it was a risk having both Chanders and Gayle in my DT, so I had Gayle on the bench in the group stage. Brought him on for the Super 8s, and should have got rid of Chanders, or at the least put him on the bench.

13.4 Franklin to Gayle, FOUR, Not-a-man-move. Length-delivery outside off stump and Gayle drilled it on the up through extra cover. Styris was standing at cover, couldn't do a thing, just had his hands on his knees.

I thought he said "not-a-man-love" at first. I was disturbed that I would misread that.

I don't think he's bowled at all badly really. The over-pitched ball deserved the treatment I guess, but there was little wrong with the other balls that got hit IMO, other than their general innocuousness.

Love the way Tony Cozier commentates really, he has such a dry sense of humour but can be very funny. Remember almost wetting myself the last time WI toured New Zealand, Ian Smith was talking about how most teams use foreign coaches thesedays and he rattled off a few, then Cozier pipes up with "Ofcourse most teams are using Japanese coaches now"

It gives him no time to compile an innings and set the pace, which is what he does best IMO (more so in tests perhaps).

If we were going to get really critical, you could say they were slightly wide of off-stump but that's about all I can think of.
