You reckon? With their bowlers? 280 would be competitive, especially with Hodge at 7. 300 would have given them a real chance - instead...
Just saying, it`s not like it`s a nothing total. 250+ runs on the board gives you a chance, and a chance is all you need.

All done. <250 should be nowwhere near enough - especially with our elongated batting order today.

& holes out trying to repeat it. Another Hodge catch, another friggin' full bunger!!!
Full-tosses not the worst idea for mine. The pitch is slowing up a bit and gives the batsmen a chance of getting under it. Must be so hard to face Bracken with his slowers.

And the speed of the pitch has what impact on a full toss? :p

Rudi's saving a boundary and bringing Bell on strike turned out to be the pivotal moment of the English innings...

Yeah, by no means a bad delivery when the slog's on.

Pretty shocking effort from us to collapse from 160-odd with two down to 247 all out. Credit to Oz, but it was that daft shot from Bell that started it. Not his fault that Collingwood & Flintoff folded like a house of cards tho.

250 is defendable if you bowl well. It's a flat wicket, but it is a bit slow and it's quite difficult for new batsmen IMO. Only two England players actually managed to get set and score easily, and if England bowl with similar discipline they should get wickets too.

Tait was really impressive for mine, probably his best effort in an ODI. Could easily have had 4 or 5 with a bit of luck. Hogg was fantastic.
