If I were being a wise acre I'd also go "Crusaders" for the final too, but don't wanna tempt fate too much.

I am slightly surprised that the same people who tipped the Waratahs last week have gone for the Canes this week. They only lost by 5 points last week and dominated territory and possesion significantly. They will take the points on offer this week and Kaplin will be wary of his record with the Waratahs and will take sterner action than the ref did last week to try and stop cynical play by the Canes in their own 22.

Sure the crowd will be behind the Canes and they will tackle their hearts out like they do every week, but Byrne isn't playing which means that it won't be so easy for Nonu to find gaps and create things. The Tahs are super confident and I think they will probably do it unless we manage to actualy play more rugby than we did last week and get a more of an even share of the ball.

Meh what do I know. I guess the key was that we actually managed to get a lot more ball and actually dominated proceedings. The Waratahs imploded in the last month of the season.

I believe the word, so often directed at the All Blacks at World Cup time, is "choke". :D

I can't believe the reaction by the aussie media and the Waratahs coach. They have basically blamed the loss on Kaplan. Gutless.

Edit - Wow me and Voltman both have exactly the same number of posts atm.

Yes, that baby has it right - I'm one post ahead of you.

I am supposed to be studying for my Psyc terms test on monday but instead I am going to come up with a 15 to play Ireland in the first test of the season.

15. Muliaina
14. Sivivatu
13. Tuitivaki? Neil Brew? Atiga? This is very weak...
12. Tuitopou
11. Rokocoko
10. McAlister
9. Kelleher
8. Nick Williams
7. McCaw
6. Newby
5. Ali Williams
4. Donnely
3. Hayman
2. Oliver/Mealamu
1. Woodcock

Thoughts?

Other suggestions I've heard, if we want to try Mils at centre, is to put Howlett at 15, which will also test his fullback skills to see if he's a WC back-up possibility (behind Mils and Rangi of course).

Hard to argue with much of that, but maybe Gibbes ahead of Donnelly, who lost form as the season went on.

Woodcock won't be fit either - so I'd got for an all-Highlanders front row of Dermody, Oliver and Hayman.

Thats pretty poor , because I couldn't blame Kaplan having watched this game .

But I would blame Kaplan for the Brumbies v Crusaders game where his decisions in the last 20 minutes were extremely dubious .

I predict the Bulls to pull the shock of the season tonight and beat the Crusaders at home .:D
