I dont know about these ideas...
I thin it should be keep 12 players, drop the rest and then its like the AFL draft like blewy said in a few posts before.
6th Div2
5th Div2

.
.
2nd Div1
1st Div1
I think it seems simpler and fairer as there is no way to hoard all the best players.

That was in the style of the original plan, the only difference being instead of nominating 3 players each, you would all pick a squad of 16 and those with the most votes would be selected, That way it would be the strongest possible team....

My point would mean the 2 winning managers have a challenge to select a balanced squad from the player their given, if 4 managers all propose 3 batsmen, he has a lot of tricky choices to make!

I can understand that but as i said the original plan was based on having the BEST players from each division to face off in a all-star style game....
If there were 3 from each team then a team like QLD who could possibly put in 4, 5 or even 6 players would have people miss out for say Hampshire who would usually only have 1 but have to have 3....
Thats the way i look at it, if we want it to be an all-star game then we would probably be best to do it that way....
But like i have said before this is your game, i just run it....
You make the suggestions and if its possible then it wil be done, so guys let me know what you want done.....
:D :D :D :D :D

Shortlist 25 players per division (8 batsmen, 6 all rounders, 3 keepers, 8 bowlers - numbers up for debate)

15 picked by most votes (each team votes for 5 batsmen, 3 all rounders, 2 keepers, 5 bowlers - numbers up for debate)

Top manager in each division manages the side for a 3 game series.

My idea was that then the squads are representative of the whole division, not just 2 or 3 teams, and in theory will be more even.

i like the idea we originally had blewy

each team keeps 10 players. the rest go into a pool. and the draft begins
lowest place team in each division gets 1st pick and so on. all players must stay in there relative division unless they request a clerance which would need to be approved by the world crciket club council.

this way by keeping 10 players u atleast need to have 1 new face in the line up and it gives the teams with not so flash sides a chance to really cash in

Im pretty sure thats the way it will be run this season, but as we all nkow that there are gonna be alot of changes next season so all the suggestions will be taken into calculations for next season....
Another major development for next season looks to be that the WCCC board will be increased from 1 member to 3 in order to help run the ever expanding competition..... :D :D
