great performance from GG CC, I think they've got this.

Moooo on track for a good win as well, tho TMO still have some decent batting to come.

Bad collapse this form Winton CC. 79/3 to 105/8.

Kock has gone berserk here for TMO, and this partnership could be match winning. Timely wicket of Katz for Moooo, but is it too little too late?

Hi Everyone - I have posted a no doubt 'very nerdy' post on Stumped about how the points system works - if you have any insights I would be delighted to read them. Maybe it has come up loads of times before.....

I can't answer your question... but for now having just started my team not really bothered. I suspect it is a rolling ranking based on your opponent WR at the time you play them.

Double header today (overlapping) for the MTOs. Luckily drawn a bot for opening cup match, hoping to get through. Second match starts a bit later against Winton XI @JOJOXI, 5th match with Winton currently leading 4-1. (2-0 development!)

My predictions: wins for Jura CC, TMO, ZCC, WCC, FHK and Morpork. Let's see how many of those I get wrong!
I got 1 wrong. Not too bad.

Really good performance from GG CC. Moooo were leading against TMO, just got undone by some good batting late in the chase.

Three games in and there are three unbeaten teams and three teams without a win. Points table seems to have split into clean groups of 3 as well.

Should be a fun next round looking at those match ups. Plenty of potential for upsets.

My picks - ZCC, Morpork, FHK, aXIa, TMO, JCC.

In ZCC news - A massive change in the coaching staff has been confirmed. Jaivant Visvayu and Naveed Farid have left the club, their contracts purchased for $208K and $1K respectively. Keiran Gooch has returned to ZCC, his playing contract having been picked up for just $3K, and he will join the coaching staff ahead of this Thursday's training session. Nasir Rasheed will be taking over as batting coach effective this Thursday as well. This massive shakeup is expected to save the club approximately $60K per week in wages, and will also enable the transition to a younger generation of coaches, ones more in touch with the requirements of modern-day cricket.

ZCC and FHK both enjoyed comfortable bot-bashes in the Cup. The fitness levels are the main concern, as most of the players involved will be required to rock up for a Dev game tomorrow! Time to check in and see how they're doing!

@Magrat Garlick unlucky to draw human teams with both sides in Round 1! Morpork could pull off the upset tho, and a pretty decent effort by Schmaltzberg.

Why do I have more players for some competitions and less for some others?
Mondays is Dev Cricket. 40 overs. Only players aged 21 and under allowed.

Wednesday is the T20 league, Friday is the One Day League. Senior games, no age limit, your whole squad is available.

CWC 2 is the T20 format, and CWC 3 is the Dev format.

We're 2 weeks into the BD YP competition, and I'm happy to report we have received 12 entries so far! Here are the front runners for each category:

Best Batter - highest total Batting potentials
Nilan Ramanuja - 43 total pot

Best Bowler - highest total Bowling potentials
Farrukh Sohail - 43 total pot

Best Allrounder - highest total Batting + Bowling potentials, with a minimum of 38 total potential in each discipline
No Qualified Entries Yet. I'll lower the criteria for this if we still haven't found anyone by the end of the comp.

Best Wicketkeeper - highest total Wicketkeeping + Batting potentials, with a minimum of 12 keeping potential
NIlan Ramanuja would win this as well with 12 keeping skill, so we'll go with 2nd place who is Ehtisham Iftikhar. 36 bat + 13 keep = 49 overall.

Worst Youth Pull - lowest total potential of all skills combined
Mubashar Younis - Total Pot 77.

If you have made a BD YP in the last two weeks that you think should be winning in one of these categories, then let me know!

There are still 5 weeks left in the competition, so plenty of time to try and win one of the prizes on offer. I will also pick 2 winners from a lucky draw with all non-winning entries, so you're always in with a chance at winning 3 months membership!

Very pleasant cup upset, our bowling just knew where to place the ball on that wicket and even their strong tail couldn't rescue them. The chase of 203 was nervy but Rowan settled things and then Marita, already tired from a century in the league, somehow held it together to bring it home with four wickets to spare.

The next round should be after a bot bashing in the league as well so definitely a chance for the first XI to show their worth

Win in the Cup with another excellent innings by Kock... unfortunately he now has to rest for tomorrows Dev game. Will be a tough game tomorrow anyway and resting a number of players who've had a big weekend.

Winton XI thrashed the MTOs again today. To many runs for MTOs after to many dropped catches and missed chances. It does not matter how well you bowl if you don't take the chances created. The chase died early with the loss of all the experienced batsmen in the middle order in 2 overs. Well done to @JOJOXI.

the Winton kids were clearly exhausted at playing in two places at once because they barely managed to get to 122 despite batting out the full forty overs at Treacle Mine Road
