Stumped!

Haha, no worries! I bid on him mainly cos a league rival had the highest bid
Nice helps us both then lol. At 40 bowling skill he'd still walk right into my starting XI too. Definitely tempted to play him in the T20 League vs Jan CC this Wednesday. Let him end his career in a proper league game vs an old rival.

Have sent you a friendly 50 over game challenge for Tuesday, just in case I decide against that. I think a 50-over fixture vs Morpork on home turf would be an appropriate send off.

Eagerly looking forward to all of tonight's CWC3 games. ZCC going in ruthlessly full strength vs the Astronauts on what should be a spinner friendly deck. FHK more or less full strength vs Hunks - the seaming nature of the pitch means a slight re-jig in the batting order, with Tiffany Yuen set to bowl a few overs instead of Andy Li.

My predictions: wins for Jura CC, TMO, ZCC, WCC, FHK and Morpork. Let's see how many of those I get wrong!

Nightmare start for FHK - Agnes, Ying-kit and Nathan all out for just 10 on the board. Big responsibility now on Tony Chung, Ivan Lam and Lai O Yin with the bat to get us something defendable.

ZCC have nicked out the dangerous Murray Crichton early, and Bashir have just picked up McArthur. Hosts are 14/2.

GGC and Moooo have each lost early wickets as well. Only teams seeing of the new ball successfully atm are Jura CC (20/0) and Dynamo Morpork (17/0).

Highlight of the wickets to fall so far:

Ying-kit is very unlucky getting out there.

I mean this is just a shocker of a first ball dismissal - chopping on when trying to leave the ball lol.

8 overs in and all 6 batting teams have lost at least one wicket. FHK doing to worst of the lot - Hunks might be on for another upset here.

Schmaltzberg setting the benchmark for over-rates here.

Rather Mad Witch
Morpork has seen off a tough new ball spell on a Basin Reserve wicket that's offering plenty to the bowlers - Marita is coming off a big league century yesterday so clearly in form.

Schmaltzberg, on the other hand, will have a long day in the field

Umesh always flatters to deceive as a mid-order bat - he has plenty of attacking intentions but i guess he never selects the right ball in the first place ¬...1 off 8 balls is the result!

FHK have recovered superbly. Chunky Kuttikkad has just broken 130 run partnership between Tony Chung and Lai O Yin (38 off 83). Chung is on 105* off 81 - his 2nd CWC3 century in just 3 innings. Superb stuff. 172/5 in 32 for FHK, I think we have enough runs. Hunks fielding has gotten sloppy in the 2nd half of the innings, with a few dropped catches, and they've also bowled 22 extras.

Meanwhile Tim Chester has taken 5-fer to rip through the long tail of the Astronauts. 112 to win for ZCC, should do this comfortably. Good knock by skipper Lachlan Peach, who top scored with 36 off 46, his highest ever in Dev Friendlies.

Some ambitious attacking from Dynamo S from the first ball has been countered by some straight bowling and left them with a mountain to climb

Tony Chung dismissed first ball off the final over for a whopping 171 off 110 balls. 21 fours and 3 sixes, I think this is might be a CWC record, one that will take some beating as well. FHK end on 262/7, and Ivan Lam's nipped out 3 early wickets already. This should be a wrap, hopefully with a bonus point.

Both openers dismissed for ZCC, but only 43 more needed. Grubs and Ahsan should see us home.

Quickly looking around the grounds:

> Schmaltzberg 18/2 in the face of a massive chase vs Jura CC. No centuries but a nice 96 for Zikhungwini.
> Moooo with a competitive 187 on the board, and have already taken two early wickets. TMO face an uphill battle.
> Winton CC going well at 41/1 after 10 overs chasing 158 against GG CC
> Morpork all over ataraXIa. 228/8 with the bat (with no single batter crossing 50), and now have then 25/3 with the ball.

If TMO can put together a partnership, or if GG CC can nip out some quick wickets, we could have a close game tonight. Otherwise, we're looking at 6 straightforward wins.
